It's a show about the horrors of tech. Black Mirror = a turned off screen. Ever see The Trueman Show? That would fit in with a Black Mirror themed movie. In her situation, something like Trueman show works well, an audience of thousands watching, and paying to get them to do stuff. Struggling to try to solo and now duo a Ikea bed solely for content which makes them money from viewers.

It is understandable because he had that decade long relationship with his ex and he hasn’t had to learn these skills and is damaged from the breakup (but this is normal everyone gets damaged from breakups). What he needs is help from friends that he respects that can talk to him and help him.
