Rana and Kate’s story when I first watch the show, it made me realize that I was in love with a beautiful, amazing, wonderful girl. Now that I came out to my family and friends and to the girl, I’m looking back at this now and it warms my heart with hope for my future. This love story of Rana and Kate is NOT tragic it is wonderful. It showed every possible side of their relationship and I absolutely love it. This is also a thank you to the actresses who played them. A thank you to the writers and directors for writing it so perfectly. I can't believe they did that to them for what. So we can have another tragic ending to a lesbian story. I loved these two and I will never understand the writers for this but I can't hate the show. So for that I am grateful you made this video as it felt like watching the show without watching the show. Also the double proposal had to be the most adorable thing I have ever seen on tv/movies, lesbian or otherwise. This was beautiful, but so tragic. I’ve seen their story but oh my this had me balling!! I was so upset that this was their ending but it was so beautifully acted. I remember looking into why this was the end of their storyline and the actress who played Rana wanted to leave the show and it was her idea to kill off her character. If I remember correctly, she said something a long the lines of “there’s nothing that would keep us apart. No reason for them to not be together. The only way would be to die” which while I hate it, I understand and respect her understanding the impact their relationship had and made an ending that she knew could be the only way out.

Recently discovered "Kana" and am blowing away by the brilliant performances of Bhavna and Faye...they made you feel all their pain and agony...Bhavna's facial expressions carried so much emotion...Faye's drunken tirade at the wedding reception was amazing...can't stop watching Kana clips over and over...while the death scene was very moving, the writers could have found a better ending...Rana could have fulfilled her dream of being a doctor and gone away to university with Kate visiting every so often...Kate could have had the odd temptation to keep things interesting until Faye left the show...then both could have been living happily ever after far away...I think their relationship really needed the happy ending...writers missed a trick there...need to go look for other projects these amazing actresees are involved in

Having recently watched "Marina" on CBS which I thought was the gold standard before seeing "Kana". Frankly "Kana " is way better. Sadly, all good things must end. We have these clips to remind us of the amazing talent that is Faye and Bhavna

Bhavna asked new Corrie producer ( taken over from Kate Oates ) to be killed off. But if she knew that Faye was going to leave aswell a few months later, then both of them would ave left together. They would ave had their happy ending, Rana's Mum finally excepting her daughter for being gay & Kate aswell. That's wot should ave happened. Always love Kate & Rana in Corrie.
