Such a lovely song. Why oh why is the 'Pronto Monto' album by Anna and Kate McGarrigle not re-released on CD? Any answers anyone?

Contractual problems, almost certainly with Warner Bros. who released 'Pronto Monto' only on vinyl and cassette. None of those lovely songs were included in a recently released anthology on Nonesuch records. That's a great album, but a few of the P.M. songs are all the more special for being so inaccessible. A re-mastering of them for CD is way overdue, I agree.

I have a nice copy on record along with a busted record player therefore inaccessiblity helps little unfortunately. Let us hope record company politics nonsense evaporates and availabilty in CD form appears at last.
