Oh my gosh, this is how they train. No wonder the WNBA is not liked. This training was bad. Footwork was not correct. The guarding was grade school play. The jumps are weak. Then some of the weight room they used are used in physical therapy to gain strength back not increase. No wonder there are so many walks and travels not called in games. About ever four possessions would be a call by the ref. No wonder players cannot get from one point to another quicker stopping another player going for the layup. Course there are so many missed layups that may not matter. I would have every team signed to play hand or racket ball by an instructor. Along with tennis lessons and track instructors. This is way men's play is so much more intense. It does not look like power puff movements and shooting. This is why some of the few women players are much better than the majority players. Also, a rookie should expect to find warming a bench more than playing. Also given till Clark came to Iowa, those players were not the same till Clark shown up. They would have had may a winning season each year must less going to the playoffs and two championships. The part of the frisbee, balloon, jumping on touching the net I go along with. Many of the weight room machines she was using for strength is also for toning and repeated that builds endurance for playing many minutes in a game. There are better ways on the court to increase quickness and balance on movements by the feet and core.

I know Kate had a tough rookie season, but that’s what happens when you’re drafted to the previous seasons championship team. The LV Aces already had a well oiled machine & they didn’t wanna tinker with that chemistry. Not really that difficult to understand 🤷🏾‍♂️ I think Kate will be fine tho. She’ll find her spot to show her skills. Just takes time for some. We’ve gotten too obsessed with comparing everyone to Caitlin Clark.
