ALL children are treated as children. In those days, my parents took their vacations ALONE and left us with our grandparents (which we preferred). We have continued the tradition. ONLY THIS LOT of silly writers thinks that both ways are right and wrong. Diana did it to be obstinate she resented the heck out of the Queen. A baby is usually better off with grandparents or the nanny. That is a decision the parents make. The BEST option was when the Middletons would move into the Cambridge home and be the child sitters when William and Catherine were gone (as they did when the little guys were tiny).

In Italy, pops and poppa and pa- pa, use to be used alot. Even a song was written and sung by a famous Italian singer. It went " oh my poppa", you are so wonderful, oh my poppa I love you so , very much. Oh my poppa, you are so good to me, oh my poppa you are so dear to me. I believe this song came out in the 50ish... It was a tremendously popular song back then. It sometimes was known to make people cry, especially if they really loved their father or had lost their father. It was a heart warming song. So pops has been around a long time. A true name of endearment.

Brandi Kidd that’s ok. I sometimes think some (not all) Americans can act a bit OTT. I mean in the way they react to certain thing. E.g. when watching certain tv shows and the people react to things by screaming and falling to their knees. I know this isn’t all but sometimes it can be over reacting. One of the things he has done was the NAFTA issue, making the other countries pay their portion instead of turning a blind eye to it not wanting to cause friction. I don't know how many people know this but he is the one who does Ms Universe or Ms America parents. He doesn't approve of people who abuses alcohol and drugs because his brother had issues and died as a result. One year the reigning Queen came to him and explained that she had a problem and wanted to be upfront and honest about it. She also said she didn't know what to do and didn't want to cause a problem to the pagent. He said if she agrees to go to rehab and hold a press conference telling them what they are going to do to help her, she can keep her crown. Her admitting she had a problem and asked for help shows that is exactly the kind of an example people can appreciate and admire.
