When you’d meet Kate in person, then she’s Catherine, Princess of Wales. When people chat, it’s not appropriate to request from everyone to call her the whole title. When you’re talking about President either with your friends or family, or in the chat, how do you call him Trump or the President of the United States Donald John Trump? When somebody is calling her Kate or Kate Middleton, I assume you perfectly know who they’re talking about.
