There is a reason for her style picks. She puts the engagements first. The outfit is subdued for a reason. I like her choices and love all her pantsuits, blazers, shirts or blouses. Also her choice of suits is that the weather is changing to cooler weather and I for one don't like having the cold wind blow up my dress or skirt.

I LOVED the sweater vest. The other reason for wearing the suits is that she doesn't have to worry about a breeze making her dress flip. That would be so embarrassing. Also, at a lot of the engagements, many of the people she talked with were also wearing slacks.This way she was able to fit in with them. She did wear a different outfit recently for one of the mental health events, a cream colored top and skirt. Beautiful.

Let’s be real, with Catherine the bar is set pretty high. I don’t think any were misses, but there were for sure stand outs. I loved many of them and I’m glad to see her having fun with it. Hi, a woman who loves to wear pants here. Well, my opinion is this: A suit is easier to wear and easier to style. At least for someone like me it is. I don't have to think about my hair too much, my jewelry, etc. as it's more forgiving in that aspect. (Again, totally just my opinion) It could be that she just wants to spend less on her clothes. Yes, suits can cost a lot, but a dress plus a professional air is, imo, much more work. And since her workload has increased, she keeps it simpler so she can focus on different aspects. Plus she blends in with the other women that are wearing suits most of the time and she doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Since Prince William already said he wants people to concentrate more onto the events and groups they promote, it might be her try to redirect the focus onto the charities without using words. Just my thoughts about her many suits lately.

I totally agree with you, I love my trousers and jeans over dresses and skirts. She will wear dresses when it’s appropriate, but visiting schools et cetera, big chunky jewellery and dresses are just not appropriate. She often sits on the floor with the children. Britney she’s just really silly. She can’t dress herself so she has no right really to criticise others. She looks horrendous in those expensive suits she bought.

Catherine can wear anything and look great! I have to disagree with you on the gray vest outfit. This was one of my absolute favorites. It was very unusual and looked great on her. Most people can't wear that. Also, the checked blazer and very short burgundy pants outfit looked awful to me, but she still looked polished as usual.

I just can’t get over how ridiculously good princess Catherine looks in practically every single photo I see of her. Be it suits or dresses, she always carries it so well and then you have all these great pictures. If you take a photograph of me, maybe, maybe one out of five looks OK (relatively speaking). I can’t imagine being photographed that often and so well. And I think you’re right, Princess Catherine just doesn’t want all the attention only on her clothes in order not to take away from the good causes she supports. And of course she is still relatively young, modern, two generations away from Queen Elizabeth.

I'm a dress girl myself. The suits are a nice addition, but i would love to see more dresses. Mix them up. I think the camel pantsuit would have looked better with at darker color blouse like black, navy or even a red. When you have a ligher colored suit you need a pop of color or maybe even a patterned blouse. A subtle patterned for a business suit. I do so love the red one tho, course red is my favorite color.

Agree, Catherine needs some patterns added to her wardrobe especially on the dull colored suits. It is the one area she doesn't go into much. Its funny how everyone is saying pants are more comfortable than dresses. Opposite land for me, dresses always are more comfortable. Tights or hosiery help cinch you in too! Not that C needs that! lol

I'm good with the move to suits...it's easy to wear, classic for royal 'business', and flattering. But like you, I love her in a dress so I hope she keeps things interesting, and event-appropriate and tosses in a few daywear dresses, particularly the coat dresses she looks so beautiful in. And for evening event wear, I'm pretty sure she'll have some stunners in that category.

I love the suit look. I personally like pants because they are more comfortable to wear, especially if you are moving around a lot. I also loved the best because it was more casual and looked comfy. She always dresses professionally and puts thought into what event she is going to. I do agree she is branching out and am a fan of that. Where on earth does she keep her clothing? She has such a huge amount that it would have to be some sort of warehouse. Imagine the fun of having such a huge amount to choose from!

Love the Alexander McQueen suits, they are so well tailored. Would love to see her in a Joshua Kane suit, they are super tailored and different, he even makes the fabrics. My favourite if Catherine's suits is the pink one. Dresses are nice but sometimes non practical for the engagements. She wore a knitted skirt and top yesterday that was very nice and practical for Autumn in the UK.

White and camel is one of the most elegant combinations (old money Style). This beautiful style doesn’t need a lot of jewelry, this would create a touch of old fashioned look. Catherine has the perfect body shape for trousers, although I love skirts very much.

Well, suits are professional and comfortable, they’re a must if you want to look polished without any actual additional effort, because it is so easy to look polished with a set, and also they’re useful if you have to move a lot, or if it’s windy or rainy. Dresses are so good, they’re beautiful and the skirts are round and give off a very elegant energy, but I find myself going for pants rather than dresses because of the comfort aspect, and the worries-free nature of pants.

I love all P.Catherine's suits, and I think she is trying to dress down, so there is more discussion on the topics, charities, events, etc that she and P.William are working on, speaking at, etc... instead of it always being on what she is wearing. Even so, she promotes UK designers, promotes friendships between the countries they're visiting by wearing their designers...and Always wears what is Appropriate for the event they are attending, which poor old Meghan has not managed to do yet..not once.. not even at her own wedding!!

Also I can imagine that a lot of women had to shop for a dress when Catherine was announced to show up for an event. It's mot likely that women have a suit in the wardrobe than a dress since in everyday business it's more common to wear a suit-since simply more comfortable and also affordable. For dresses you need different shoes, underlining, Accessoires, etc. And:she seems to go without a bag more often in a suit

Roland Mouret makes beautiful dresses but his pant suits just always seem a little off to me. Catherine, Princess of Wales, looks wonderful in RM dresses. The Princess of Wales seems to be out and about almost every day and she might find pant suits more efficient. I did love the skirt and sweater monochrome look today. Smythe blazers are timeless. I got the linen one button tuxedo stripe blazer this spring and it is as perfect as the wool Smythes I have had for a few years....imvestment dressing

The weather is cooler now in UK since Catherine returned to royal duties after her summer break. To me it makes sense she wears a trouser suit bc they are warmer and more practical in windy conditions, they are also appropriate for the event. Obviously she doesn’t wear them for evening events. In the business environment we know they are widely worn. On a different note, if you look as good in a trouser suit as C does then who can blame her for wearing them.
