+Liv Smith Just for the sake of speculating why they haven't gotten married (because so many film stars fall in love with costars and famous acquaintances), I truly think that they did it for the safety and feeling of security of never losing their deeply rooted friendship through marital problems and ultimately divorce. I also have gotten the impression from Leo that he is kinda frightened by marriage, and I think Kate sensed it since they first knew each other. It's depressing that the scarcity of commitment in our society can scare such a loving friendship out of the deeper engagement of marriage... but it is nice to see such a genuine friendship in Hollywood.

Whenever I see them together, I have the biggest smile on my face. They just click. Their friendship is beautiful. I honestly think they truly love each other but they're too scared to be a real couple; what would happen if they broke up? Their friendship wouldn't be the same. I think they value their friendship so much that they're willing to let each other go romantically. Kate once said, "Loving someone is setting them free, letting them go." I mean come on!!! If you believe Dicaprio feels this way about Winslet, yet they haven't ever got together, even when they were both single, it means Winslet doesn't feel the same way about him. So there is no deep relationship to even talk about. That spot is already taken by current Winslet's husband. So my theory is Dicaprio has strong insecurities and thus he never even tries to meet women in his own league, or he is gay, still in the closet, and all those model relationships are his beard, while they benefit from this by having their modeling career take off.

I mean that that the relationship they already have is very deep; they're more than just casual friends, they're there for each other, and truly love each other. So it's a deep relationship regardless of whether or not they love each other in a romantic way. I do believe DiCaprio feels a romantic connection but Winslet doesn't feel the same way, hence why she never had a problem committing romantically to someone else but DiCaprio still struggles to do so.

I think what surprised me the most was the fact that, while I was sitting there watching it, I suddenly realised that I wasn't even thinking about Jack and Rose.
