Yes, the glaringly obvious fact that there are no other shades of color on the table is upsetting. However, I feel like this is not the fault of THR so much as it is the reality that there just aren't a lot of Black, Latin, Asian, etc. actresses leading movies this year, at least movies for Oscar consideration, which should always be pointed back to Hollywood leaders, film studios, directors, writers etc (people who can truly impact this issue). On the plus side, it is refreshing to see Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren & Charlotte Rampling, women over a particular age (which is another pressing issue within Hollywood). On the whole, it is a fantastic looking round table with formidable actresses of all ages. I'm excited to watch it in its entirety.

+Diaz Carmel I always find it ridiculous when I read the comments and people are blaming THR for the lack of diversity. Whenever POC are considered contenders for the Emmys or Oscars, the reporters always invite them to the roundtables.

I always appreciated that THR would acknowledge actors/actresses of color in their roundtables and they always talk about the diversity problem in Hollywood but I was kind of hurt when I seen the cover and seen that every actress was white. I love and look up to all of these women but as a black girl that wants to work in the film industry, stuff like this always hurts. I would have love to have seen the two women from the Tangerine film on here, I don't understand why THR passed up on such a great opportunity to bring them more buzz and hear about their experiences as trans women of color in Hollywood.

I hope the roundtable gets to be longer than an hour, because they have 8 actresses instead of 6. Seems like this is a stronger year for female roles, last year there were a few contenders, it was very easy to predict who was going to get nominated, but this year is more difficult, I'm really struggling with my predictions.

Wow, what a roundtable ! if this is anything to go by you'd think the only talented actresses in the world are white blonde women. Who would have thought it ? Amazing. Gotta give credit to Kate Winslet, Sorkin and Fassbender for the character assassination of Steve Jobs. A man who did more in the real world, than they have ever done in their imaginary one. Ask Johnny Ive the designer who worked 16 years face to face with Jobs what he was really like. He was disgusted with how the movie portrayed him. In addition to an awful script. To have the whole movie based on 3 product launches did not work. It left the movie poorly paced with a boring perspective on the Apple CEO. There are several angles from which they could have explored the good and the bad that Jobs bought to the world. Not to mention a dull performance from Fassbender who did not portray any of the charisma the real Jobs was filled with.
