I remember her guest starring on Glee and nailing Lady Gaga’s “Americano”, which is not an easy song to sing if you don’t have pipes, and I was shocked when she nailed it because up until that point, I had no idea that she could sing. From then on, I always wondered if she’d ever foray into music and hoped that she one day would. I’m so happy to see her go full throttle as an artist! There’s a naturally positive, light vibe about her and the world right now could certainly use it. I’d say the difference between her and a lot of actors turned singers is that she genuinely seems to have a love for music and performing, and this doesn’t feel like a cash grab or a forced rebrand. Her live vocals here prove it! This is someone who clearly has been singing her whole life. Kudos to Kate! I’m excited to see how her music career evolves :)

I'm biased cause I really enjoy the song but one of the things that struck me about this performance is the insane amount of stage presence she has, it's the kind of thing the younger generation doesn't learn anymore and she was clearly thought young and honed throughout all her years in the industry. The way she poses, the outfit choice, the body movements, the size of the band, the backdrop, it all works really really well. She fills up the stage, it's not aggressive and flows so well.
