Some games you just have to play from behind and your goal is not to get ahead, but not to fall to far behind, especially when you're playing against a terrible matchup like Vex. A first time Vex can easily just beat a 1000 games Kat because the champion just completely counters Kat like that. As you can see throughout the game Katevolved stopped trying to force anything into Vex and just started prioritize farming in side lanes to ensure his income and as a result he for the most part was only 1 item behind Vex despite Vex having 10+ kills.
