I have LP Sothorn on my home altar and we have LP Sothorn as our main image at my local wat (temple). Boiled eggs are a very common offering to this style of Buddha.

@@ManyDaysStudio do you know why lp sorthon bucha is looked like a sakyamuni buddha?
@ManyDaysStudio4 жыл бұрын
@@Maddoxxx It was said that in the year 1770 this bucha floated on the river and reached right in front of the temple Wat Sorthorn (Formerly known as Wat Saothorn), and the community recovered this bucha. Villagers guessed that this Buddha bucha was built during the period of Ayuttaya. Temple named the bucha after that incident as Lp Phra Put Sorthorn, in short Lp Sorthorn or Phra Sorthorn. As time past, it was eventually pronounced as Sorthorn instead of Saothorn due to many people having difficulty pronouncing Saothorn.
