I remember that American Idol performance like it was yesterday! It is one of the very few moments I remember because it was such a stellar performance and David is such an iconic song writer which made the episode that much more special. I remember being angry at Simon when he commented about the performance. Katharine did the song justice and still sounds incredible! Whitney would be proud and it is obvious that David is!!
