I'm so team Stefrine!!! Stefan loved her and he kissed her before she died. And she chose him over Damon so many times. She even told Nadia her daughter that she loves him. The writers just ruined an amazing built up relationship! Elena turning Damon into the better man while Stefan turning Kathrine into the better woman. It would've been perfect. I hate Steroline it just doesn't work.

However, while she compelled him, her last words in the compulsion were “we will go on exactly as we have.” It made him stay in a relationship with her and act as he had before. He didn’t get to make that choice for himself nor was he allowed to deal with his true feelings.
