Hey guys! I hope you are enjoying lip swatch week!! I have recently heard weird things about limecrime! What is up with this company?!? I'm so NOT aware? PS- These videos were all pre recorded (since I'm in the process of moving) and when I went to edit Saturday's video, the files were corrupted (cries in corner) I KNOW so many of you were looking forward to the too faced melted lipsticks!!!! I'm so sorry' THE SECOND I get all settled in to my new place im going to film that video and post it. Don't hate meeeee

I was unaffected by the security breach since I used PayPal but people who used their credit cards got fraudulent charges. Some got a couple hundred dollars stolen and I've read in the comment section that some got a few thousand dollars worth of fraudulent charges. It sucks that they waited so long to address the issue but people forget that Lime Crime is still relatively small business.

Yeah, limecrime is a terrible company unfortunately. Your followers should be warned that their security system at checkout isn't great, my cc info was stolen after making a purchase there. This happened to tons of people, and when they started making comments last week on an instagram post, lc chose to delete the post instead of being a professional company and looking into the problem. It wasn't until HUGE backlash that they are backpedaling. Very unprofessional and they won't be getting my business ever again, which sucks because I really do like their velvetines. Oh well.

Hi Kathleen, I normally am not very comfortable commenting on controversial subjects and I'm honestly not sure how I feel about Lime Crime anymore, but I loved the velvetines they were my first liquid lipsticks I ever tried and the formula was also my favorite. However, in the last year or so I started hearing a lot of rumors about shady stuff their CEO did in the past and I didn't really know what to think about it but recently I saw a post on Lime Crime's website about their website being hacked and apparently thousands of people have gotten their bank information compromised and money taken from their accounts. I read through the comments and it turns out that MANY customers have been trying to contact Lime Crime about fraudulent charges on their accounts after making purchases on their website since OCTOBER. Thankfully, I made my last purchase through PayPal but I was very alarmed when I first found out and I noticed you said you purchased the velvetine about two months ago which was shortly after when the comments started to show up and Lime Crime has only now addressed it. I just thought I would let you know if you weren't already informed. It saddens me that their is so much controversy revolving this company because I was a huge fan of their products and while it is common for hacking to occur (like it did with Target last year), it adds a lot more to the Lime Crime controversy. I am not trying to spread anymore negativity as I am someone who previously really liked the brand, but I think people should just be aware.

Thanks girl! I've just seen so many nasty comments on Instagram regarding the subject and I know it's good to speak out but it's like damned if you do, damned if you don't with this case. But when it comes to people stealing hard earned money due to a company's neglect, I think it definitely needs to be brought to people's attention. I'm glad I wasn't affected but I feel for everyone that was and I still feel uneasy because I'm not sure if I had saved my cc info on their website in the past. I only recently started using PayPal for everything and I'm SO glad I did!!

Wow girl I'm so sorry you had to go through that, it's so upsetting. Literally none of the liquid lipsticks I've tried compare in formula or longevity but I just can't feel right supporting a company that has such bad business practices like this. It definitely serves as a lesson for all of us though to always use PayPal. I really hope you can get your money back.

honestly, doe deere is such a shady person, she's done some terrible things and I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually just her taking the money. that being said, I did bite the bullet and purchase cashmere, even though I didn't want to support her or her company, I just couldn't find anything like it so the makeup addict in me told me to just do it. And I DO love cashmere but now that every company ever seems to be jumping on the liquid matte lipstick bandwagon I know I won't be re-purchasing.

being super pale, I know the feeelz girl. and this is probably weird but I line my lips with anastasia brow wiz in taupe and I feel like I look a lot less corpse-like when I do that. I usually never go for nudes that don't have strong pink undertones but I love cashmere!

I found you on KZbin because of your anxiety video and I cried along with you the entire time (my parents also went through a divorce and that was the start of my anxiety. I am so upset over hearing all the money being stolen straight out of people's cards. That's hard earned money being so shamelessly taken and I'm just alarmed that the situation has being happening for so long and they haven't found out or even announced what has been happening exactly. I understand fraud happens all the time but the thing is the LC owner is also very shady and I would not give my money to a company ran by someone who does such things as apparently make fake charities to fund her lavish vacations as I read on another comment. Cashmere and Suedeberry look AMAZING with your makeup today. I agree their customer service is AWFUL. Their products are very inconsistent across the board. Two friends and I ordered a bunch of stuff together, including multiples of some products. They all shipped together and none of our colors swatched the same or had the same consistency. I thought it was weird and called. I was told to ship back anything I wanted to be looked at. I did. They never responded in the time they said they would. When I did finally call them, they refused to replace anything and blamed everything on us. They would not send the products back unless I paid shipping and would not issue a refund. I was even told I lied about receiving the package directly from the carrier because the products "must have" been left in the sun.

FDA send them a warning letter because they use unsafe ingredients in the Velvetines. It is not a rumor you can check FDA website, the letter is public. Lime Crime say it was a "misprint" but false labeling is a crime too, they were irresponsible for not checking. I have seen some people complaining about a lip rash, so I personally think they do include the harmful ingredients.

If you do order from their website, pay through PayPal. People have been reporting that they noticed fraudulent charges on their credit cards after ordering from Lime Crime. Their servers aren't secure, I guess. Also, if you have any problems with your order, good luck - I've heard a lot of people (including Kathleen in the video) say that their customer service sucks. I'd personally just give LC a pass if I were you.

Actually they did have these on Sephora for like a minute! I bought 2 of these but after so many people protested to Sephora about this horrible & shady company Sephora removed lime crime from their website ... I have to say that after hearing about all of this ...I will not be supporting this company ...I even had a bad experience with lime crime at last years NYC IMATS ... Ugh no ... Limecrime's security breach is probably the LEAST shadiest thing they have done. and the reason it was so bad is because it only happened because doe deere knowingly refused to pay for her customers to be protected. Repeatedly. (I'm not one of the people who believes she was stealing the money herself, but I will throw that theory out there because they are truly a pathetic establishment and I wouldn't put it past her). Her response to customers was just disgusting. Pick a response, they are almost all unprofessional and overly defensive. Doe deere very obviously does not care about her customers, but I would even argue based on several of her comments that she looks down on them and thinks she is entitled to their money. She has called them idiots for buying her products on several occasions. REPACKAGING cheap products, more than once, and pretending its an exclusive and original product!? How much lower can you even go? Getting a warning from the FDA about an ingredient that shouldn't be in lipstick at all and then whining that the ingredient isn't illegal in other countries as if that means anything, and then claiming that the ingredients got misprinted and it was never in there as if any of those things are any better than the other or even slightly ok!?!? And I thought the batch of lip gloss containing human hair that she sent out was bad. I could trust counterfeit makeup from outside the asian market downtown more. Especially since the videos she made of her "creating" her makeup were obviously staged and showed her making several mistakes that even an amateur wouldn't look over. And it's a good thing you liked these or you probably would have gotten the threats and harsh treatment other bloggers experienced for having a negative opinion. oh, and my question a few lines ago about how low you can go? doe deere answered already. She is SUCH the humanitarian she has held fundraisers for animal shelters......that don't even exist!!! There is NO good reason to support the company, period. Everyone deserves a second chance?? ok, normally I would agree, BUT shes on her fifth chance AT LEAST!! Lime crime is pathetic, disgusting, and a blight of the beauty world.

My products are second to none in quality. Beautiful, whimsical colors in designer packaging. If you're too poor to buy my products, then go elsewhere and spend less and get a low quality product. You don't deserve to use Lime Crime - Google that quote from Doe Deere. This company makes me sick. I'm not hating on you at all girl because you are bomb dot com, but I feel like if more people knew the truth about Lime Crime, they wouldn't support the company. Not only does LC have TERRIBLE customer service, they've also been known to buy cheap wholesale makeup and just repackage it and sell it as a "custom, high end" product.

ALSO...the creator of Lime Crime has admitted to stealing, and even went as far as setting up a fake charity claiming money donated would support an animal shelter...the animal shelter wasn't even real!!!!!! One last thing, not sure if it's still like this, but at one point the products claimed to be "vegan", yet they contained beeswax and carmine/cochineal (crushed bugs - often used to produce a red dye) Anyways, Kathleen you're AMAZING and I cannot wait for your Colourpop eye shadows!!!!!!!!

The colours and quality vary by batch because it's all cheap stuff that gets repackaged for her, she's labeled them as vegan but half of the products aren't made with vegan ingredients, and she tries to control peoples' ratings and reviews, to the point where I'd be amazed if she doesn't threaten Kathleen with legal action for saying their customer service is shit, which it is. I'm ashamed I ever bought anything from them, I got rid of the one lipstick and shadow palette I bought when I found out about this crap. It's cute packaging, but it makes me feel dirty having it in my home.
