Multi level marketing or what many refer to as a pyramid scheme, like Beach Body or Lularoe. You get pushed to recruit new “consultants” because you get compensated in some way on whatever money the people you recruit make (usually it’s a percentage). So the further up on the pyramid you are (the more people you have under you) the more money you make.

I keep a pack of makeup wedges in my kit to help smooth out foundation after using a brush or helping to clean up the eye area. It’s so much more sanitary than a blender. I personally would rather pay my foundation and concealer in with my fingers than a beauty blender. I like the finish more and even though I’ll occasionally use a beauty blender they really kinda freak me out. I just think of bacteria. I’m a weirdo that can’t get it out of my mind. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is why I love Kathleen!!!! Love hearing you talk about anti MLM a tad bit!!! I do content on it and I’m so glad that people are finding videos and finding resources that can help give all information that most MLMs won’t tell you!👏🏻. I also agree that it should never be anyone attacking someone or being aggressive. Anyone anti MLM should be educating and showing tactics used to hopefully help save someone from joining not attacking the person in the MLM for sure. That’s my thoughts🙈

I’ve had a few encounters with MLMs myself. I feel like there’s definitely something sketchy when some feel the need to harass others. Plus it isn’t logical to constantly need more and more people under your “network”. You’d eventually run out of people?!!!! Not my monkeys, not my circus.

Yesss!!! I made this point when a girl from my hometown wanted me to join the magnetic lash MLM. I don’t understand how you can sell if you’re always recruiting others to sell too?! We live in a very small town. There’s only so many people, it doesn’t make sense!!

Exactly. As a nutritionist I was approached by Amway, Herbalife and Usana for so many times and every time I said no. It seems like they can't accept NO as an answer. The sad thing is I run my own small nutrition business and I carry some really good practitioner-grade supplements (definitely not MLM lol), and people around me are more interested in those MLM products because they believe that those brands are bigger and more well-known so they must be good 😏 I don't really comment on here but now I love Kathleen even more for speaking about this topic!

MLM are so intriguing! Anyone I knew who was part of a MLM or still a member actually enjoyed it but I’ve seen so many videos exposing MLMs or horror stores. I’ve been pitched two different MLM companies by members and I’ve said no to both. The whole idea of how MLM came to be is something I would love to learn more about!
