Kaththi is a 2014 Tamil action thriller film scripted and directed by AR Murugadoss. The film stars Vijay in a dual role alogside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Sathish play supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's soundtrack and score. Cinematography was done by George C. Williams and the film was edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Lyca Productions and Ayngaran International bankrolled the venture and Eros International[2] purchased the theatrical and audio rights for the film.The film opened to positive reviews from critics.

Bosskey... u been a good critic....After a long time really a feel good film from Vijay.... but with few big flaws like logic loop holes, songs, cinematography but u never mentioned the flaws apart from music and little drag..... Totally unnecessary songs. And dual role is not necessary for such intense story line. Jus the Activist character good enough... And he is the person holds the key,,, if things would have told straight trough him, it would have been a big plus...because that character has a good scope of acting and Vijay is outstandingly performed well too.. inspite of all odds, its a worth watching movie,,, AR scores with his trademark dialogues.... especially one word explanation for Communism and the Climax dialogue...Brave attempt and the message has real value which makes the film a stand out... Overall it is a good movie with few flaws,, yet makes its Mark... Happy Diwali Guys,,, Be human and Be happy!!!

I am sry .. if u want a movie without loopholes.. u shld watch hollywood.. Songs were mokka i agree that :) .. Cinematography ! Dai .. it was one of the best cinematography.. Dual roles is a must .. If the movie was presented by a single role.. It would have had Lots of LOOPHOLES... Like how could a activist fight ? How could a activist think like a criminal ? ! :| think abt it :)

Bro!!!! Biggest loop holes r with Hollywood movies only!!! N when I say dual role is needed.. Its doesn't mean the activist to fight 50 people...it means there is good scope of screenplay n great potential outcome could have been there. Vijay is my favorite actor n fr long time he disappointed me...after a long time I saw such a good acting from him...with the activist character as lead they could have done some marvelous stuff...this movie would have been a milestone. N cinematography... Its good but there r lot of different tones in a single movie which looks like I m watching different movies at the same time...tone should be same throughout the movie that will keep u engaged more in to the movie!!! N makeup is very bad fr the negative role n brilliant fr activist role... They focused too much on commercial elements when there is a great scope of taking this movies to another level... If they would have did that...v could have had bunch of award fr vijay fr such a performance!!!! He has such a potential n we fans stop him from that.... That's the reason he did too much of bad movies in recent years.

i like the village vijay character i thought he played that part really well. but there were too many flaws in this movie, i expected another tuppaki but was a bit disappointed. i also felt the movie was too long and the double character wasn't necessary at all. the concept is nice but the script was bad.

Review was okay....vijay has acted extremely good..the movie has a good story line...but ARM has failed to direct it properly..this is not a type of direction we expect from the director of Thupakki...if u turn back into the years of tamil cinema, u can find that, director who does not know how to take the story in the proper way always use EMOTIONAL factor to cope up...that has been done here...with this superb story line ARM should have given it glory, but he failed....ARM has failed as a good director...n coming to music, anirudh is using only his earlier tunes with just a slight modification..samantha has no scope in this movie...verdict: good acting by vijay, good story line, bad direction, n same old music...watch this movie only for vijay n the story line...the story has not been portrayed properly..

Because of the stupid hero worshipping fans. It doesn't happen anywhere else in india or elsewhere. Only in Tamil nadu. They don't realise the actors make money and doing it for salary. Would Vijay give his salary or the director give his profit to the poor villagers? Ofcourse not but will make a show giving couple of sewing machines and pump motors. As long as the public is stupid and Sheridan worshipping this trend will continue started from MGR to Rajini to vijay. Keep watching stupid movies, keep praying to your heroes and Tamil Nadu will never change.

Its not about vijay, its about Murugadoss in his 7aum Arivu movie he talks about killings sri lankan tamils and now he has joined hands with layca production which is sri lankan sinhalese company that is reason all the pro tamil groups have protested to this movie, murugadoss or vijay only money matters.
