Omg I just posted the same comment. After watching the way Kathy treated Kyle during season 12 and at the reunion, and the years of trauma I saw in Kyle stemming from the way her sister had treated her, yeah, no longer a honky dory fan Kathy. Saw Kathy's true colors that season/reunion. Have seen inklings of it in her relationship with Paris. But certainly saw it in full force at the reunion.

I think that Kathy and her sisters have a very competitive relationship due to growing up in the industry and trying to outbook one another for jobs. It seems Kathy likes “the underdog” Kim, because she can play hero and Kim isn’t a “threat” like Kyle is. Kyle and her hubby have millions and Kyle has really leveled up.

Kathy was too busy, jet setting, to be an effective parent who provided consistent, timely, effective guidance to her children. It shows in the odd, dysfunctional dynamics in the family. Kathy became involved when she could no longer ignore her daughter's problems. So, you have Paris, who resents going to the reform school, and Kathy, who is infuriated by Paris writing a tell-all that aired the family's dirty laundry.
