Crypta is a Brazilian death metal band formed in São Paulo in 2019. The band consists of bassist-vocalist Fernanda Lira, drummer Luana Dametto (both former members of thrash metal band Nervosa), lead guitarist Jéssica di Falchi and rhythm guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi.

Taina and Jessica are both lead players. Taina wrote much of Shades of Sorrow. Jessica came in after it was recorded to add her lead work. Beautiful contrast between these two magical players!

one more comment: this was filmed in Brazil at the studio where this song was recorded. The "square" guitar is an acoustic guitar that Taina played at the beginning. Taina and Jessica are both lead guitar players, Fernanda is the singer and bass player, and Luana is their amazing drummer!

lol Death Metal is an acquired taste. Crypta was formed by Luana (the amazing drummer) and Fernanda (the singer/bassist) when their former band Nervosa broke up. Nervosa was kept going by their guitar player Prika, so (in my humble opinion) while the breakup was disappointing, I got two awesome bands out of it. 👍
