A particularly touching video of theirs is "My hero". Their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, sadly died at the age of 50. They held a tribute concert for him and his 16 year old son played the drums for this song. It's very moving.

Dave Grohl (the front man) is hands down one of the best musicians of all time. His journey from where he started to being Nirvanas drummer and basically being a part of the hugest band of it's day and eventually starting the foo fighters completely anonymous and making himself an even bigger legend. Love Dave

"Pretender" is one of my favourite songs and videos from them, but there are so many to choose from! "My Hero", both the original video and the concert where Troy, the son of their drummer Taylor Hawkins (who passed away), got up to stage and played the drums! Epic and so moving!
@joelpinckney978210 ай бұрын
Their signature song, one that prompted Bob Dylan to say that he wish he had written it. The girlfriend is played by the late, great Taylor Hawkins. He didn't play on the song or the album (The Colour and the Shape), but he did join the band permanently and tour that record.

The singer, Dave Grohl, is one of the most awesome people in the music industry. Not only because he broke his leg during a performance and finished the performance after they set his leg. But also because he is a very giving man. He once spend more than 24 hrs cooking meals for shelters in the middle of a storm. That's the kinda stuff he does. I love that man.

2:15 i listened to this song for like 20 years and its my hands down favorite love song. At the time marker something happens in the mix of the song that ive only recently discovered and couldnt hear all these years until someone pointed it out. Right here at the time stamp 2:15 a female vocalist is singing "Doo doo doody doo/ doo doo doody do" and that same voice backs up his harmonies on the chorus, but you wont even hear it if you dont know its there. There are focused tracks on youtube that bring down all the other instruments and boost hers up so you can hear. Im surprised i never found it over all the years cause i researched this song. I know how to play it on guitar and ive tried to make out whispers that you can hear in the last crescendo which is just Dave mumbling something. Really is my favorite love song. "If anything can be this real forever. If anything could be this good again. The only ill ever ask of you, gotta promise not to stop when i say when, when she sang" doo doo doody doo

It also should be noted that Taylor Hawkins, the blonde damsel drummer, had also been the drummer with Alanis Morrisette, before Dave Grohl came looking for a new drummer for the Foos. The music videos are usually entertaining, and their live performances usually tremendous. There are quite a few videos of Dave Grohl pulling a fan up on the stage during a show and playing along.

I saw the Foo Fighters for the first time at Wembley stadium in 2008 with 83,000 other friends! They brought on Jimmy Page & Jon-Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin for a couple of songs too. The vocalist, Dave Grohl, was the drummer with Nirvana, who I saw at the Reading festival in 1992 & 1993, prior to forming the Foos. Check out a live version of this someday, it's mind blowing! Great reaction as always ladies 😉🤟xx

Ok. Hear me out, ladies. Due to when I was born and the era of rock that was of “my” era, when grunge/‘alternative’ invaded, I was bitter and not a fan. Thankfully, I was existing high school. I began a strong dislike of modern rock from then on. That’s okay. I was getting into small, independent label electronic-industrial, etc. Having said that, over the years this is one of the songs of this era I finally fell for. It’s so well written and so engaging. Grohl’s lyrics and vocals are on point. I dig the silly video a lot but I think it actually takes away from the song’s full gravity. Good stuff, says my begrudging younger self. Heheh. I’m not surprised ya’ll enjoyed it. Very very solid song! 🙂
