The producers of Young Guns 2 wanted to use Wanted: Dead or Alive in the soundtrack. Jon said no but offered to write this original song instead. He had a cameo in the movie. Bon Jovi started in the early 80s. This song was Jon Bon Jovi solo and not the band.

The movie this was featured in, “Young Guns II”, is one of my favorite flicks. I’m not the biggest western fan but that film has so much storytelling in it. And the characters that make up its world are all so memorable. I give Bon Jovi credit for writing a song that fit the film perfectly.
@christopherferrarelli22627 ай бұрын
During the making of Young Guns (1988), the producers originally wanted to use Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive"; but Jon said in an interview promoting "Blaze of Glory" that the lyrics he wrote for "Dead or Alive" didn't really mesh with the story. When it came to the making of Young Guns II (1990), the producers approached Jon and asked if he could write something that was in tune with the story for this film. He not only wrote "Blaze of Glory", but a series of songs like "Miracle", "Dyin' Ain't Much Of A Living For The Young", "Billy Get Your Guns", and "You Really Got Me Now". Collaborating with artists like Jeff Beck, Little Richard, and Elton John for these songs. He also has a cameo in the movie as well; playing a prisoner who escapes from a jail. "Blaze of Glory" was not just Jon's first #1 hit as a solo artist, it was also a Golden Globe Winner for Best Song from a film (1990), and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1991.

Jon Bon Jovi is how he is known in the entertainment world. His name is really John Bongiovi. He is the pride of my home state of New Jersey. If I remember correctly, Emilio Estevez approached John and asked if they could use his song "Wanted Dead or Alive" in the Young Guns II movie. He told Emilio in a sense, I'll do better than that! He made the soundtrack to the movie! I bought the soundtrack when it first came out. Some well-known music legends played on it as well. I believe the late, great, Jeff Beck played lead guitar on this track. Keep rockin' it, ladies!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

One of my underrated favorites Aldo Nova worked on it too. Aldo did the keyboard recording on the song “Runaway” by Bon Jovi. Also Bon Jovi produced one of Aldo Nova’s albums. You might know Aldo Nova’s most famous song on his debut album called “Fantasy.” It’s an absolute kick ass song. Aldo plays almost every instrument on the album, but he’s best on guitar, along with his singing.
@fuentes_7 ай бұрын
Oh man... Aldo played the keyboard track on the song Runaway originally? 😮 Are you sure? I know that guitars are played by Tim Pierce and not Sambora but I always thought that keyboards were played by David Bryan in that song.
@nitro_001newman27 ай бұрын
@@fuentes_ This is from Aldo Nova’s mouth, but now I think the keyboardist Roy Bittan from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band got credit for it. Jon Bon Jovi's cousin Tony Bongiovi mixed my first album at the Power Station in New York and I got to know Jon at the coffee machine andi invited him to hear my songs. So when it came time for Jon to do the demo of the song Runaway and others his cousin called me up and I was more than glad to come and do it, Jon and Tony were my friends. I went into the studio and it was me on guitar, I did all the background vocals with others and I played keyboards on a lot of tracks on that album too. I was pretty involved with the debut album especially from the initial track Runaway. That track basically got them the record deal they got so much airplay from it , it did really well."

This song is part of the soundtrack for "Young Guns 2" starring Emilio Estevez (Son of screen legend Martin Sheen and brother to Charlie Sheen), Keiffer Sutherland (son of legend Donald Sutherland), Lou Diamond Philips, and Christian Slater (brother to the famous actress Helen Slater). The song wasn't featured in the film until the beginning of the end credits sequence. "Young Guns 2" continues a fictional retelling of the adventures of Billy the Kid and his gang during the aftermath following the events of the Lincoln County War of New Mexico which were retold in the first movie, "Young Guns" (which also starred Charlie).. The popularity of "Young Guns" helped establish Emilio, Lou, and Christian as bona fide Hollywood stars while extending Keiffer's fame already realized as a result of the hit horror/comedy/action modern day rock n roll vampire flick "The Lost Boys". Incidentally, "Young Guns" inadvertently planted the seeds for the beginning of the so-called Brat Pack which was a loose rotational collective of young Hollywood talent with Emilio reluctantly at its core.

Bon Jovi is the band, Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer of that band. It was the theme song for Young Guns. The bands mega popular Album "Slippery When Wet" made them famous. Wantes Dead or Alive is another Western themed song on that album.
@DCFCfanatic7 ай бұрын
There are two Young Guns movies. This song comes from part 2. Emilio Estevez, who plays Billy the Kid in both, has been trying to do parts 3, 4, and 5. Basically a trilogy off of a novel based on Brushy Bill Roberts. Bill Roberts claimed he was the real Billy the Kid and never died. Witnesses the knew Billy also claimed he was the real deal due to seeing that he had the same scars and wounds from bullets and knifes. The Brushy Bill Roberts story is set up in part 2 as he the one telling the story in the movie. He went on to have many adventures of which they are written in the novel. These stories would make up the new trilogy. Emilio would then use his father, Martin Sheen, to play the older version of Brushy Bill in part 5. Things seemed to be moving forward with the movies, but then the pandemic happened and the movie went into some sort of limbo. To this day it's still stuck in limbo but it seems that it's started slowly move forward. Beside Emilio talking about it, Lou Diamond Phillips and Keifer Sutherland have talked about it as well. Even Christian Slater's character is said to be in the script of the 3rd movie. This means that the ending of the 2nd movie might be retconned in order to bring back some of the popular characters.

At that time JBJ was already a renowned artist, world-famous performer and a valued songwriter. He was 28 when the movie (Young Guns II) came out, so he wrote music "for and inpired by" it probably about a year earlier. He also had a small role in the movie. That is not very agey at all, but he started out making money on music, playing the guitar and the piano in bars when he was 13. So by that time he was already a seasoned musician.

Jim Rutledge was the lead vocalist of blood rock and John nitzinger was the lead vocalist and guitarist, bugs Henderson was on bass and Linda wearing was on drums..and she played those drums hard and heavy like any male drummer would.
