Thanks for the shout out once again Paul 🙌🏻 Those 1987 Japanese Country are a thing of beauty. Never a 10 though! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 The Ashurst are named in memory of a young adidas collector who helped Spezial in the early days but sadly passed away when he was in his early 20’s. He was from Ashurst in Skelmersdale.

Your totally right on the quality issues with adidas , more so the last 6 years and the quality is very hit and miss especially on suedes.i tend to go more runners these days as they do seem to be better quality.im on the look out for a couple of pairs from few years but I ve not bought anything from a store for ages.im liking country og before 2017

Runners tend to be ok ,flat suedes is definitely hit and miss these days All I wear now are runners.. all about the comfort these days

Great drop, the Ashurst are great, they could be doing with a bit more padding on the tongue but that aside they are a lovely shoe. Had a chuckle when you introduced the San Fran from Japan (stunning, stunning shoe) I instantly thought of Al Murray saying "friend of the faultline" on his Global Finance skit 🤣(if you have not seen it, give it a watch, hilarious IMO) Your videos are now the first thing I watch on a Saturday morning mate, a bit like Gazzetta on channel 4 in the 90s 🙂👍

I bought the recent ones and sent them back. Too many little things wrong with them - glue marks, loose threads. Didn't bother swapping them as I figured plenty would be like that.

I’m more than happy to pull Spzl if the quality isn’t there James. And I certainly don’t like everything mate. Embarrassed? Far from it. I enjoy collecting & talking all things Adidas & Spzl is obviously a part of that. I often say in my videos that it’s not for everyone.

Thats really harsh, Yorkie seems like a really decent bloke and if you watch his videos you would know he doesn't just blindly buy everything SPZL, only what he likes. And if there is some QC issues with some SPZL he mentions it. I have a few pair of SPZL, all the ZX models they have done are fantastic, (I'm into runners more than flats, so don't have many SPZL flats) well made, good quality and you certainly don't find them on 'sale' racks or I wouldn't have spent hours upon hours trying to find a certain pair..

Makes me laugh! There is no law to say you can’t like ALL Adidas & no one gang is cooler than the other. FFS we just all love Adidas trainers why seperate! 🕺🏻😂🥳
