Sergei has been gone longer now than they were married. There will always and forever be a special place in Katia's heart for her first LOVE. She grew up in his arms. She must go on with life. I pray she is happy again and will find a deep, meaningful, loving relationship with David. She seems to be happy, time will tell.

I don’t think she will ever re-marry. She tried. I just hope she finds a significant other to share her life with. In the end, it may be her daughters who bring her the greatest joy and that will be enough for her

Thats right dear Lisa she divorced in 2015, I think she couldn't forget to Sergei, a person close to Katia told me that Ilia is not a good person, I was impressed, other person says that she is with David Pelettier but I don't think so, I think is a skate partnership.

I've read Katia's book My Sergei twice now, and I've gotta say the most loveliest depressing story I've ever heard of in my life. I've also read her sequeled book A Letter For Daria that was amazing too. Not as long as the first book it only had nine chapters in it, but it was still absolutely very amazing. Just as good as the first book. I even saw the My Sergei documentary movie too. I've watched that about 3 times now. This story is just so good but so so sad. I can't believe how healthy he was and then all of a sudden he dies right in front of Katia's eyes. How could anyone detect that he was having a heart attack? How was his shoulder and back problems ever linked to something even more serious? They even mentioned in the book that his back pain got so bad, that his feet would get numb. He died when I was only a year old. So now I've just learned about their story last summer when I read her book, and I was just stunned. I couldn't cry, couldn't breath, I couldn't do anything just sit there and think to myself " WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST READ!" Oh my god! Absolutely so freakin sad. R.I.P. Sergei February 4th 1967- November 20th 1995.😰😘❤️😇!

His dad of a serious heart attack back when he was I think when Sergei was in his early 20's that should have been a red flag then but wasn't. he had 2 completely clogged arteries when Sergei died and a doctor said the heart attack happened 4-5 hrs before Sergei actually died his heart just didn't know when to stop beating. he was only 28 when he died. Heart disease knows know age of people only that they should have read the signs but didn't. shoulder and back pain are all signs of heart problems.

My now deceased husband had similar symptoms. Unfortunately they both shd have followed up w a cardio. It was suggested to Sergei when they were struggling to diagnose his problem and almost flippantly by my hubby’s PCP. Don t get me wrong - love them both...

I remember in her book how her alone nights right after Sergei's death profoundly affected her. Searing loneliness. Oh, Katia, how I pray you are one day reunited with your loving Sergei to possess everlasting happiness together. How can we thank you for the memories? God bless you.

God yes over 20 yrs it's not fair he went so young.i feel he poured love but was let down by everyone even katia.knowing history of his dad.continues back and shoulder pain.not once did they do a heart test of the wires and camara up through his valves.this could have been avoided.he wanted to stop.settle down have more kids.but katia was in her element she craved the attention.he made her a star.he also was a star in his own right.never overshadowed her.he was so proud of her.now she's with her 3rd and I know she's living her life.but this hockey player dresses trys to look like sergi.warms her feet like sergi.reaps rewards thinks he's the star.RESPECT PLEASE KATI.HE IS NOT SERGI.HES A HOCKEY PLAYER REAPING INTO POOR SERGI CREDITS.R.I.P SERGI

She was married to Ilia Kulik, who was a single skater - world champion, European champion, Olympic champion and a couple more and is now married to David Pelletier who is also an Olympic champion.
