I had a great time choreographing this music video, it was lovely to work with Katie again, we filmed it in Germany 🇩🇪 I audition the dancers two days before the shooting day, I love working with this dancers, they learn my style and choreography in one day only. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on this music video.

For me, this song is something I will never forget about. It was playing on the radio the day my mom left me when I was 10 years old. She came back eventually but I can’t listen to this song even 14 years later. I was lying on the ground, crying, as she walked over me and Katie Melua was singing about a happy place on a radio… what a pity, because it would’ve been a beautiful song. Today was the first time ever I told someone else beside my therapist about this song and the associated memory to it and now I feel like I just wanna share it openly. I still can’t listen to it so my phone is on mute but maybe one day I‘ll be able to grow past my trauma and listen to Happy Place once again…

I like it a lot. The songs gives that nice feeling. There are some calm parts where you can enjoy Katies smooth voice and the words that she says. The rhythm grows until the chorus and then thare's magic going on. The video is nice, oriental Katie is hillarious :)

I agree, there seems to be a deeper meaning here. I've heard a child trauma victim explain to me how she compartmentalized her experiences in drawers and went to happier places. Then when she had to face the trauma again, she took it out of the drawer. It seemed like the video portrays something along those lines.
