Katie Prudent USEF Clinic Part 3

While we are primarily a dressage channel recently the USEF clinic with Katie Prudent has been all over social media with controversy so we thought we would go ahead and share the unedited sessions. While we don't agree with everything we also realize that that particular video currently circulating social media is EXTREMELY narrow and only highlights some particular moments whereas the clinic as as whole had many many good take aways and contrary to what is being show Katie talks a lot about rewarding the horse and being fair which is not what those clips would have you believe. Im gonna be honest and say it doesn't matter if she was nice at times too. Any cruel person can have those times where they speak common sense. The moment i had heard her say she would flip the horse - red flag. Immediate red flag. Not only would that harm the horse, but the rider. Having a horse flip over is basically abuse, doesn't matter if she actually did it or not, its the fact she said she would. Many riders have died having a horse fall ontop of them, and yes a flipped over horse will land on the rider. She was IGNORING the fact the grey was showing a big sign that something was wrong with it. A helicopter tail is a big sign you get off and get the horse checked out for things like pain. Any caring person would let the rider know the horse was doing that, and suggest the same thing. A vet check. That horse is extremely uncomfortable and most likely hurting and so is behaving the way it is. If she cared enough, she would know it. 🤷 If these riders can't stop in a straight line, then she should tone down the level her clinic is at (this one, for these riders) or have them leave to join a lower level clinic.
