The clear monofilament thread is approximately 0.38mm diameter and standard clear/invisible type fine thread will work. It’s very similar to fishing thread. Thank you for watching 😊

Beautiful necklace! Just so I'm clear, are you saying that ALL of the gemstones must be loaded onto the monofilament before you start crocheting?

Don’t know if I missed it or not but how do you gauge how many gems or beads to string prior to crocheting and how long to make the crocheted length? Great tutorial!
