Hi Katie, every time I watch your videos, it reminds me why I love to paint furniture and such. Not only does the furniture become new, but I also feel renewed. I was raised to respect what we had, even when we had very little, and in so doing, everyone, for the last 3 generations, that I know of, are creators. Painters, tool & die makers, quilters, builders, gardeners, yarn artists, bakers, and so many more. We see a pile of scraps and discards as possibilities. I can't imagine life any other way. Thanks for reminding me each time I visit your channel that even small changes, made with love, enrich more than the moment, but in many ways, our spirit.🌷Oh, love the tally skinny table.🌷

Nonsense and Sensibility Chapter 5 The poetry of discarded materials... It started with a small skinny legged thing ... It seemed inconsequential, but not to the artist -- Taking the pain staking , but necessary , steps needed... The poor little discard became a beauty...ready to be tucked in,"where ?" and useful again. The poetry of a discarded thing is lovely indeed !

Hello from Alabama! As a beginner, I think my intimidation is the number of times one has to go back over with coats of paint. The artist in my wants to make the transformation in one coat and be done. But I'm learning that I have to be patient with the process, to do quality work for my customers. I completely agree with you about starting small. Thanks for the great instructional video. -Stephanie

First video I’ve seen using sanding and a primer under chalk paint to give a smooth finish. Brilliant idea. Most videos I’ve seen just paint the chalk paint right over the piece with very little prep. Your technique is much better. It’s going to insure the surface is smooth with no bleed through. Thanks for this beginners video. As a beginner this video is priceless.

Surrender everything to Him! It's only when I surrendered completely that my life changed. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Maybe one day we can paint all that "brown furniture". We bought or inherited all that beautiful brown furniture we used it, we loved it, and now we have to sell, donate or gift it to someone else. OR we can give it new life!!! There's always a choice, sometimes its an easy decision and sometimes its difficult but I've never had regrets making the right decision. I have many prayer warriors in my parish. I will say a daily rosary for your healing. Pray without ceasing. God Bless you abundantly❤️

Wow. Gorgeous! I hate that mauvey color and still love it lol. The legs are to die for with their veins or whatever you call the carved vertical lines. The last one I watched was a terracotta and I'm not a fan of that color either and loved that piece too! You and your projects are becoming binge watch material, oh no!!🥰🤤 Peaceful vibe, human vibe plus materially educational is apparently addictive. Lol. Definitely interested in the homegrown veteran paint business. I really appreciate the lone about being intimidated, towards the end.

That color is absolutely beautiful, and the knob color too. They go so well together. Great job as always!
