I love watching Katie Van Slyke's videos! She clearly loves ALL of her animals and spends time letting them know they are important. The move of Karen into the new mini horses digs was interesting--kind of her to do this before Karen has her baby!

As a mini breeder around the corner from you. I have had several foal at 306 to 310 days. Most at 320 days. One 363 days (a one time hand bred breeding so I know the date). I'm glad that you are putting them under cameras. We use the same amazing vets but please read up on Red Bags because it will be all you at that point. Even with feeding correctly, off fescue hay, and given supplements it is still a big factor in mini's. Good luck from your fellow mini breeder in Murfreesboro.

I think the babies need their own agility course. Maybe an obstacle course with a roller that rubs their back. We have a back scratcher for our cows and they created their own obstacle course because they are extremely nosey. It wasn’t uncommon for me to exit my house and feel like I’m being watched only to turn around and see a lineup of cows and a donkey at the back fence watching me go to my truck.

I've been writing about the red heifers in Israel (where I live) for work for a few weeks now, and watching Pumpkin, all I can sit and think about is whether or not a mini red heifer would be kosher or it has to be normal size. LOL. The ones that arrived here came from Texas ranchers. :) If I'm able to get out to the farm to interview the Rabbi's, this is now on my list of questions! haha.
