Gracie had her baby! Live foal birth & Aftermath!

On day 335 of her pregnancy at 12:55 am, Gracie gave birth to her first foal ever, a perfect sorrel colt that she carried for our mare, Beyonce!
It was a tough birth due to his challenging presentation, so that is why there is not footage of 100% of the birth as we had to be all hands on deck, but they are both fine and healthy!

Grayson would be a perfect name for him because although she’s not his biological mother,carrying and birthing and nursing him makes her just as much of his mother. What a tribute to Gracie’s journey that would be.

I understand completely the good, the bad, and the ugly stuff that comes with farming and I'm no farmer by any means but I just love watching you and your family and all the love and hard work you do for your animals and I think it's beautiful and you are very excellent at explaining the steps you take when caring for your fur babies. Thank you I did at one point want to be a farm vet but it's not always putting cute bandaids on little babies. My dad had a mare that we called Runs, because her name was a mouthful (Runs with the Wind, we're Native Americans), she foaled a stubborn little colt that we named Dances with the Wind after his mama, shortened to Dancer. Little boy there reminds me of a Stubborn Dancer, which now that I think about it, makes sense with Beyoncé being his bio mama.

Beyoncé is pregnant with another baby. They did in vitro to have Gracie birth Beyoncé baby because Gracie is healthy and will be a good mama but is not really the standard they wanted babies from.

It’s not intervention if the mare was needing assistance she had a rough birth it’s normal a lot of mares need them to stay with them to make sure everything went well it’s completely normal
