The City Government of Davao, in partnership with DepEd-Davao City Division, officially integrated the DCplinado program into the school curriculum. This initiative, guided by City Ordinance No. 0552-24, aims to instill discipline and strong moral values in Grade 6 and Grade 10 students, beginning January 2025. Mayor Sebastian Duterte emphasized the importance of self-discipline in fostering a peaceful and progressive community.

During a special ceremony, the Acha Family from Paquibato was named the “Pamilyang Dabawenyo Idol Ko 2024” for their inspiring community service. Francisca Glenogo was recognized as the Model Kasambahay, while Henry Tan was awarded Model Employer, emphasizing the importance of harmony and mutual respect in Dabawenyo communities.

The spirit of Christmas came alive at Rizal Park with the Koro sa Pasko finalists enchanting audiences with their musical talents. Congratulations to all winners, especially the Mintal Senior Citizens Chorale, Ma-a Central Children’s Chorus, Davao City National High School S.P.A. Centennial Chorale, and Mindanao Chorale Ensemble for clinching the top prizes in their respective categories.
