Hello! I recently rewatched all the Hunger Games movies, and it reminded me how much I absolutely love these two. If I could rewatch any movie again for the first time, it would hands down be Catching Fire. That movie is a masterpiece! I think this quarantine is slowly turning me back into my middle school self and, you know what, I'm not that mad about it lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video!

Katniss always loved Peeta. In the book, it was so obvious she was smitten with him. She always called him handsome, thought very highly of him, knew he was good person, knew things about him that others didn’t, protected him, worried about him, and she was never in love with gale. She even stated in the book that she loved him as a brother and she didn’t find him attractive and that they looked like each other as a brother especially since she knew him since she was 12. I don’t know how anyone can ship her with gale especially since she was never in love with gale and the fact that it was always peeta. Here’s a quote from Katniss from the books, “She admits that she noticed Peeta in the market and saw him lift around hundred-pound bags of flour. She noticed how good Peeta is at wresting and that he came second in the school competition the previous year.” “And then he gives me a smile that seems so genuinely sweet with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushes through me” When Peeta describes to Katniss when and how exactly he fell in love with her, Katniss is “almost foolishly happy”. When Katniss is getting emotionally closer to Peeta in the cave, she thinks, “I wish I could pull the shutters closed, blocking out this moment from the prying eyes of Panem. Even if it means losing food. Whatever I’m feeling, it’s no one’s business but mine.” When Peeta kisses Katniss after recovering in the cave, Katniss thinks, “This is the first kiss where I actually feel stirring inside my chest. Warm and curious. This is the first kiss that makes me want another.” Afterwards, she lies down on Peeta’s arm that night and thinks, “No one has held me like this in such a long time. Since my father died and I stopped trusting my mother, no one else’s arms have made me feel this safe.” I have shipped them since the first book and first movie

Ohmygosh! THIS! I just finished re-reading the books (which I can barely recall how many times now haha) and really, Katniss was soooo obvious bcuz she describes Peeta always with an accurate details like how his blonde curls fell, his blue eyes staring at me, the way he holds me, the warmth of his arms, how he speaks that can move mountains, and the way he concentrate when drawing or painting the plants of her herbal book. Darn. Can't get enough of Peeta. A total package of beauty, kindness, and lover. Bcuz of him, my previous standards for men about being cool for always picking up fights, vanishes because the gentleness of Peeta and his intentions are all pure and peaceful. Haymitch is right, if there were many Katniss in the world, "You could live a hundred life and never deserve that boy."

You’re right but she was in love with gale in the second book and the beginning of the third. She said that she choose gale of peeta amd that she wasn’t going back ,which obviously she did, but yes she was in love with gale. At the end of the first book she admitted to peeta that it was only for the games that she loved him

I agree and disagree. I don't think he ever truly, selflessly, loved her. But the reason he didn't volunteer for Peeta is because someone needed to stay behind and take care of Katniss's family. She would've never forgave him if he volunteered.

Yes!! 100% agree! And after the games he wasn’t really there for her emotionally. He only cared about the kiss and was so wrapped up in it, he was blind to the fact that Katniss would be traumatized for life. She needed someone to be there for her and understand. (Which in the end was Peeta teehee)

amen. reasons why katniss belongs with peeta 1. GALE KILLED PRIM 2. Gale and Katniss are too alike and as the saying goes, opposites attract 3. Katniss needs someone who can comfort her when she's vulnerable, and only peeta can do that because most men have masculine traits like strongheaded, rebellious, so like a knight in shining armor, and katniss is already that so she needs a kind, compassionate feminine partner like peeta (damsel in distress). that's what makes THG so unique. the man and woman attributes are swapped and that's why people love the THG so much

And people always ask my why I was team Peeta. This is proof. Katniss could live 1,000 life times and never deserve him ( don’t get me wrong though katniss is a great girl) if gale had really loved her he would have volunteered and never given up EVER. Peeta really cared for katniss and when katniss describes him holding her it just make you want to be hugged by him ❤️

I just rewatched all movies yesterday, and then I see that scene when Peeta saved her from taking the pills after she killed Coin, I imagined what he must be thinking... He ran towards her immediately when he noticed her intention and was like: "Why are you doing that? I chose to stay alive just because of you, I don't have any other person I care about. Only you, and I can't let you do this, because I need you."

Ah dear! I know I’m 8 months late. But I still want to give you my thoughts on this masterpiece! Would you be willing to hear? How I know this is a masterpiece and the best edit I have ever seen, I got literally chills. I have goosebumps now. I have recently fallen in love with Peeta and Katniss. And this edit truly inspired me. But a lot of other people appreciate this edit, but if they’re not editors, they can’t fully appreciate it. As fancy as “transitions edits” may be, voiceover edits are 100 times harder. I *love* the “and now ally.” *pause* “Peeta.. Peeta was left behind.” “I’ll add that to the list of words I use to figure you out.” O 👏🏻 M 👏🏻 G 👏🏻 that flows, fits, and is over all perfect and we’re only 15 seconds in. *mind explodes* 0:20, 1. I love that scene, and I’m glad they added that in sense it wasn’t in the books. But I also love that scene to match, “Same old us”. 0:23 I love the, “where’s Peeta?” “You left him there.” Like she’s kinda answering her own question. But the scene with Peeta thrashing around and Katniss staring at him with the “too late.” Freaking broke my heart. ;-; (Sorry for this play by play, but I have a lot to say, and you deserve to hear it) 1:04 the “my love, my love, my love” with them hugging for the first time since the quarter quell, made me cry. Such a beautiful scene choice. 1:24 “this from peeta?” “Yeah” “I wish I could give this rose to you” flow very nice! I absolutely love it! Honestly this comment could go on for days, but I’ll wrap it up for ya. 😅 I’ve never commented on your channel before bc I just found it. But hands down you deserve more subs. This is a masterpiece of an edit. Perfectly explains their story. Ha, I feel like quarantine turned us all back into our middle school selves. (Obviously it did for me 😂) And Catching Fire had to be my favorite as well. Perfectly portrayed the book. And sense so many are talking about why Gale sucked, here’s my take on him: Gale was like an older brother to Katniss. If Gale really “loved” Katniss, he had 4 years in the woods to “make a move”. Same goes for Katniss. But when Katniss comes back from the Hunger Games, Gale’s upset acting like he was her boyfriend and she went off kissing another boy. Which would be reasonable if he was, but he in fact, *wasn’t* her boyfriend. And had never opened that door at all. If he really did love her, he should have been respectful, and just told her after the Hunger Games. Not gotten upset with her. He couldn’t contain his rage over a situation that he played no part in. *Enjoy reading a book 😂*

Why is everyone bad mouthing Gale?😢 Yes Peeta and Katniss were amazing together but Gale and Katniss’ friendship at the start of the series in both books and movies was amazing! Also, does anyone know how much pain Katniss caused Gale- Gale loved her. He truly did and Katniss got engaged to Peeta, kissed him, slept in the same bed, kissed, loved him. Gale was heartbroken. So, he decided that there was no use, she loved Peeta. Then he went on to fight, so others wouldn’t have to deal with the pain.
