@@johnmongani5223 - Clark was pathetic. She could have easily explained away the leather glove. Apparently she never worked in a cold climate where leather gloves get wet and shrink and get hard. You put them on and work them and they stretch and go back to their original size. I did that more times than I can recall in NYC. The defense had nothing, they knew OJ was guilty. All they had was the race card. LAPD didn’t frame him and plant evidence, they idolized OJ, the football icon and movie star. They loved him. Fuhrman opened the door for them to pull out the race card. Fuhrman should have just admitted it, probably the entire department has used it more than once…..even the black cops. The State could have introduced a video of OJ killing them, and that jury would still come back with not guilty. They used that trial to give the middle finger to the LAPD. Wrong place, wrong time. The jury was 100% wrong for using their vote to make a statement about racial injustice in the LAPD.
@johnmongani5223 Жыл бұрын
@@mchapman132 yep agree. I'm pretty sure the prosecution did make the point of shrinkage when they put on the stand the guy who owned the isotonor glove company. He said they would shrink but the jury was gone by then. Prosecution even showed that those particular gloves were sold in a small amount and that Nicole had bought them around the time of them being first available. And had pictures of OJ wearing them when working for NBC football games. But nothing the prosecution did was going to work after Cochran got a hold of the jury with his conspiracy BS. But I agree Clark did not fight enough to counter Cochran.

@@mchapman132 yep Ito was bizarre. Some of his decisions added to the circus like atmosphere. Especially when his wife who worked for LAPD said she didn't know Mark Furman and then it turned out she did. She got trashed in the media for not being truthful and Ito almost started crying on live TV in the courtroom when addressing it. That trial needed a judge who wasn't emotional. Ito was very moody throughout the entire thing.

@@johnmongani5223 - They were all worried about their own necks. People lie when their backs are to the wall. Judges get “report cards”, and some are afraid of their own shadow. Ito was the wrong judge for that trial. Friends in LA told me he was chosen because of his race, Asian, not white….not black….trying to keep things neutral. The justice system shouldn’t have to do that. I felt very sorry for the Goldman family. Ron was just a young man trying to make some connections in influential places. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nicole, on the other hand, voluntarily got involved with OJ, and suffered the fate of an abused spouse. “If I can’t have you, nobody can”. Yesterday I sat and watched a two hour programme about the OJ trial. What an embarrassment for the US. Your legal system is a disgrace. The lawyers discussing things outside of court on TV, bringing all sorts of disgraceful matters into the trial that have no bearing on the facts in question. The judge letting everyone but jurors see parts of the evidence. The judges wife being part of the trial. What a system you have. I am not surprised you have all these exhonerations on death row. I was really shocked to see how this trial became a TV soap opera instead of a fair trial of the evidence. Yet Americans seem to think their justice system is brilliant. Unbelievable.

Why ask Kato if he thought staying with OJ would help his career? A lot of pointless questions. And this is her own witness....a hostile witness at that.
@johnmongani52237 ай бұрын
She wanted to make the point that OJ may have suggested to Kato he could help his career if he lived in his guest house, thus a way to getting Kato out of Nicoles condo. That way OJ could have an easier time controlling her with nobody else living there. She went at Kato aggressively because she thought he was acting in a way that was not truthful especially why they went to a McDonalds that was farther than another one closer to where OJ and Kato lived. And the reason for that is a drug dealer came forward who said he sold drugs to OJ and Kato the night of the murders at a Burger King that happend ot be close the McDonals OJ and Kato said they went to. The drug dealer was never called as a witness because he sold his story to a tabloid TV show.

So interesting here Kato makes it sound like it was oj not wanting him to move with Nicole to bundy but in more recent interviews he says HE didn’t feel it was right. And people say he was helping oj here and that’s why he was declared hostile but I’d say making oj seem like a jealous spouse helps the prosecution especially if it’s a mountain out of a molehill and Kato didn’t not want to live with Nicole. I think Kato just didn’t have the best memory. Many of us don’t and it’s even harder when you don’t know you might need to remember something.
@johnmongani52237 ай бұрын
Pretty sure Kato was planning to move in with Nicole. If he didn't feel right about it that was OJ manipulating him to feel that way. That's what the prosecution was getting at, that OJ was a controlling person, controlling Kato to get out of Nicoles house by offering his guest house. And also controlling Nicole's feelings by stalking her and later letting her know he knew what she was doing and with whom at Bundy.
@TSeeley017 ай бұрын
@@johnmongani5223 yes that’s what the prosecution was getting at but in a more recent interview Kato says kato didn’t want to live with Nicole because Kato didn’t think it would be right. Then oj who doesnt know this guy let's him move in free of rent . Its bc he did not want a man living at Nicole's. Also I think he did not want kato around Nicole's to see when he was stalking her or kicking doors in to rant & rave. The 911 call , oj was ranting to Kato who came home. At least that is what Simpson said at the civil trial. I was actually home from school & my grandma babysat me & I remember watching with her cause she was glued like everyone. Anyway my grandma was laughing saying " this guy stutters & mutters through this . I think he is on something " marcia freaking hated him.after this. He was very hemming & hawing & he was not very forceful in this testimony. Oj I think went to kato for the money to est. An alibi. Like have someone see him. Man the gallery thought he was just hilarious. I guess he is a goofy guy & it was some levity. I imagine the goldmans for sure were not amused. Marcia Also said he did not want to piss oj off.
