Yes I agree. I’m not an interior designer but I would have designed it very differently. I would have installed a gazebo with cozy not-too-big outdoor couches made of rattan and colorful decorative pillows. The gazebo will also protect the furniture from the infamous Mumbai rains. I would have created a more casual and cozy atmosphere whereas this looks like the reception of a hospital :))

grt job done, loved the choice of the whole look BUT I just couldnt see the whole view of the terrace including the roof to actually see the difference how it was totally renovated. The new pergola area, I actually would have made it larger keeping in mind the weather etc. I still dont know how a rug/carpet could be maintained outdoors in an open terrace with the rains or Indian dusty environment. Thankyou so much though, thoroughly enjoy watching all the episodes.

Honestly, it looks more like a sitting room than a terrace setting. Terrace should have a cosy swing for the feel. Tea light string on wall instead of lamps that are more for indoors rather than outdoors

You need to do a followup for all these renovations maybe a year from now to see how these stars have maintained the spaces you created. Of course the hair looks nice when we come out of the beauty salon, but what we do with it after the designer or beautician has left, tells the true story of how workable and maintainable the makeover was.

I guess rooftop was put in the place where water body was .. they should have 70 % of the terrace covered with roof n big windows..curtains..mosquito nets .. They should've let it be .. if they don't want they could hav closed it with some strong glass .. ( anyway space is being used for coffee table only .. Should have arranged some colour Round paper lantren lamp shade lights instead of wooden board to the wall Lantern string lights / party toko etc.. Simple traditional look also can give the vibe ..hmm

Those are outdoor cushions and fabrics. Water goes through it and doesn’t absorb much. I also believe she must’ve some sort of cushion box to store them in rains or furniture cover. That’s what I have.

Same thought, those vases would be full of water during rain, the glass table and white sofas would be dirty within hours as dust particles concentration is high in india, those sofas have some sort of foam and wooden material how on earth is that gonna survive rain, fog, hot sun. Only thing I agree with is putting on plants, large ones they truly transform the terrace and gonna make it beautiful.

@@grf123 I have furniture that is for outdoors sofa beige color , tables that are of glasses! Outdoor furnitures are able to held rain and dries up quick if it gets wet :) these are different sofas that are indoors! You can check online :)

@@Happyheart77777 it would be hard to maintain, why the rug is needed on terrace. Those vases are definitely not surviving the wind and rain. I feel they overcrowded the terrace, that was to much for terrace, it looked more like a rooftop restaurant or a bar. The wrost part, client instructions were not followed, she specifically said she wants " Mexican style specially tulum style", Mexican style patios in general are very rustic, use metal or plain wood seatings and are extremely bright and beautiful and are minimal at same time and they're easy to maintain, generally they have similar temperature conditions as india . This looked very modern, and crowded, and not practical at all.

Guys she is an interior designer, won't she have thought of Mumbai rains? Also GK Mam is not for actresses or actors or anyone from film fraternity, she is approachable by anyone who can afford, she has budget interrior designs as well.. here she comes up with persons from film fraternity because we always wanted to see those people on screen so does she.. before GK Mam came as public with her interiors designs she did all trial and error with her own house and that's where she got the confidence that she can do this to anyone from outside as well.. this is open terrace, anytime they can use rain shields to cover up everything...she is a billionaire and there is no need for her to work, but she does and she has given opportunity to so many workers of her team and survival benefits for their family.. Let's not discourage her but yes we can add suggestions, again opinions differs, pls do not take personal, this is my opinion about GK Mam.. I wish the grand reveal happens with Gauri Khan on that place. I think she should be there to tell her customers what she has done,why she has done. Gauri did a fantastic job in this show,she really is an amazing artist👏. But I think the concept of the show and the makers kinda was a let down. They never bring Gauri to the place. These are not ordinary people, they are celebrities I think at least she shud be with them, at least when the final product is done. Gauri designs everything from her office till the grand reveal,which also happens her sitting in her office. I don't think if she works like that in real life too. If she does,then its fine. But, if she doesn't ,then I think u shud really take her to the place. I mean she'd definitely visit the place that she designs,at least if there is a special person involved. You nvr show the conversations that she have with her team. She never visits the place, tells the workers that this is how this should be done. There is only narration in the background,not in front. If they had edited the show good, it wud hv been even better. As it looks more like a scripted chat show rather than a natural design show. Because I feel its injustice to Gauri. She puts a lot of hardwork in each project, but we don't see that happening in a 20 minutes show instead u make her sit comfortably in a chair and let her narrate from the teleprompter! So next season plz bring these points in mind. More work, less narration.

If you had any basic concept of editing or directing in the first place, or any common sense at all, you would figure out that the showmakers clearly tried to do their best with the available material. Remember this is someone so powerful who used her social and economic clout to actually isolate and throw out a reigning box office queen to the extent that she had to go restart everything from scratch in another country's film industry. I'm not a designer, but I know I could have done a better job with that space, even with fewer resources. I suppose, since they're Bollywood people, it's more about building relationships and connections through projects like this. Otherwise, you can tell from Katrina's face-her eyes didn't light up when she saw the place. She probably just went along with it because it's Gauri Khan, a big name in the industry. Like the remodeling GK has done to KK's terrace, only one thing didn't like that much is they've covered the useful nice small built in ledge pool, it would've added more serenity n tranquility in that space if they turned that pool to a small luxury water lily pond or coy pond with waterfall spillway like a luxury aquatic garden.
