This is the 4th KZbin creator/maker I've watched over the past month that is facing these challenges and some talking about closing their business or Etsy shop. Part of it is the increase in sales during Cov has gotten back to what was normal before the shut down. Plus inflation. slow sales and that hussle culture is not all it was built up to be. Now many are experiencing the burnout. My prayers to all the creators that are experiencing these challenges.❤❤❤

Katrina, I will be 65 a sneeze away. I have been on the fence about retiring to do my crafting because of what you did in the beginning of your journey. To look at your channel today and see what you are going through broke my ❤. Sister you are a child of the Most High and he will not put more on you than you can bear. Take time for yourself and your son. I too raised a son and you know what? They grow up and become their own selves. We as mother’s tend to blame ourselves for the we could have done more for and with them. The truth of the matter is we did the best we could with the cards WE were dealt. They don’t understand that until they are grown and have kids of their own. Please don’t beat yourself up. Hi Katrina, 1. Thank you for your transparency! I know it can be REALLY tough parenting, especially when our babies need extra attention🤗 2. It warms my heart and I am sure I can speak for not just myself but others too when I say this is very encouraging to hear not just your strength but some pain points as well (helps us grow when we fight thru storms). 3. I lost my son 4 yrs ago to a car accident(he was 30) but I remember him being Kayden’s age & needing more attn at times. As a single mom, I did my best but if I could turn back the clock!!😢 I would do exactly what u are doing, trying to get the old Kayden back. I pray things will soon turn around for you two🙏 Keep hanging on in there, you’ve got this. Some parents may want to give up especially while wanting/needing to run their businesses AND juggle parenthood. I think you should cut back. Like you said you will never get that time back. It’s still not to late. But success is not always what is most important. It’s hard as a single mom. I regret working all the time and not being there for my kids. Just do it. Don’t let money and the level that you are now in success be first. If he’s already telling you you are never there. I love your transparency, I go through those emotions and feelings from time to time. I used to spend a lot of time trying to get my business off the ground and I sacrificed my time with my wife and kids and it got to a point where it interfered with my family. Doing a lot of different things takes away a lot of time so now I I made myself a routine and sticking to it. Working and not living is not living we cannot work just to die and not enjoy the fruits of our labor. One time I stayed up all nite not sleeping to finish an order and that almost killed me and I came to the realization that this is not what my life is all about. Katrina take time to live, I’m doing everything all by myself, so I’m wearing all the hats so I know exactly what you’re going through. I pray and ask god to give me clarity and direction. Your truth is in the journey and you’re testimony as a real person, god family business in that order I tried to switch up the order and it didn’t work. I love you as a person before anything else.

I’m praying for you Sis. Single mom…boy mom too. I homeschool/roadschool my son. We keep the Sabbath. We also have AT LEAST one “mental health day” each week. During our “Mental Health Day “, we do whatever we want. That usually involves gaming for my son and crocheting for me. We have to replenish and take care of ourselves regularly. Also, we’re Ambassadors for Christ; so, we live by Matthew 6:33. We don’t take any thought for our lives; what we will eat, wear, live, etc. We put God first and He adds those things unto us. I pray God’s Will for you and Kayden’s lives. Be encouraged Sis. 🤎🤎🤎

I learned the hard way about working too hard and end up sick for five months and could not work at all, now I make sure I do not take any orders on the weekends Saturday and Sundays. I do not work because you have to find time for yourself.💕💕💋💋

I totally understand how you are feel and what you’re going through with your son. My son is the exact same age and he’s going through this phase where he wants to do his own thing. It is heartbreaking, but you’re doing the right thing by Strategically reducing working on the weekend, plan in advance difference activities and things to do with him, this will definitely help. At this age, they’re going through a transition and trying to find themselves it’s not always easy but you have notice and you’re doing something about it and that’s a good thing. Remember to look after you and all the best.

Katrina!!!! Gurl!! I loved every min of your testimonial. You keep it 100 all the time. My boys have autism and ADHD and I am not working conventionally to support them. I felt everything you said. My boys are pre-teen and teen and their wants n needs do change. One thing I established with my oldest son that has stuck is bonding over you tube videos. Now boys are always watching things that include all kinds of innuendos, butt talk etc. so grab your pearls and buckle up. sometimes we watch anime, other people play video games, Try getting into your son's world knowing it will be evolving and a lil cringe. Keeping you in prayer. I am so glad you can say aloud what you're feeling and you are developing a plan to improve. many don't ever say or do anything and just become bitter. I like you even more. I am attempting to sell tees etc. I need your coaching asap.

Not just to Katrina but me and so many others right in here. Alanon/Alateen is not always about alcoholism and drugs. It hits on everything we live. It's a family that does not criticize. Another thing I hear you saying is you determined what is for him and you have that right but I found that I was not hearing him saying what he wanted. You are doing a very important thing in recognizing there is a problem. I waited too long. Our Higher Power is always at hand. And Kaden is changing as a tween. So don't beat yourself up. Peers are real. Truth is we work for ourselves and say it's for our children. We love working. At 73, I still love working.

I think you’re doing the right thing…reflecting on what’s good and what may need to change. I have 3 sons (all grown now) and raised them as a single mom…you never stop worrying about them…just keep doing what your doing and be the constant in his life…God has you both. I work my craft business too, but I don’t depend on it for income (which I believe is why I still love it😂). I know you don’t want to bring anyone in to your home, but think about bringing someone in that you can trust (at least part time)…you need time for you…when you can’t work your business, it’s nice to have someone who can. I have no energy or motivation to do what needs to be done to really put it out there and my limited space at home does not help. But you have done very well for yourself.
