after a lot of interviews i've seen of katseye i feel like lara is really the best spokesperson i have ever seen, because speaking for yourself is easy but the way she puts the group's perspective and understands the questions quickly to answer in the most neutral way possible and the group knows this and lets her take it away. and i love how when the group is asked to describe something serious and important to them they take themselves and their answers seriously but when its all fun and games they're quickly changed into bubbly, giggly and chaotic and loud in the best way possible

What i love about this interview is that you can tell that their sisterhood is genuine! It isn’t forced. I know there's an entire internet war on whether KATSEYE counts as kpop or not, but my girl LARA literally said it herself. They are just an American girl group pretty much, making western music, BUT training/performance-wise that's where the kpop influence comes in, to assist in maintaining great group chemistry and high performance quality. (Then again, kpop training is just an old school pop star training which is derived from Motown in the USA.) Their mission is to become globally famous. It's NOT that hard.

It's known that many kpop companies have put serious vocal training on the lower part of the list of priorities, instead they prioritise choreography execution and group chemistry. While those two qualities are nice, it would be nice to have better quality vocals rather than "stable enough". Geffen Records has a history of making vocals SHINE. They keep vocal quality higher than many kpop companies.
