I might get taunted or bash for this take but look at blackpink for example They're very unique and what sets them apart from other girlgroups is they're very ambitious they move and groove the same and have the same goals which is to go global until thier individual solo and thier different goals, they seem to move apart from each other they're not in the same wavelength anymore they all have individual goals, And it shows in thier performance not that sync anymore somehow I see them as Co workers other than friends that's how you knew groups didn't have that much chemistry anymore. She admitted that she didn't have discipline at first but she realised how serious it was and STOOD UP. I'm glad that woman asked these hard questions honestly because unlike kpop, this global/western girl group will answer shady, nasty and backhanded questions no matter how hard it is. Glad they're keeping it real honestly. Sometimes the "fake sweetness" in kpop is tiring, especially when there's a situation going on. At first she blamed it because of Covid but they literally showed her chatting with her friend fine and just felt like not going to rehearsals. That’s great she “ apologized”, but there were other girls that were more talented than Manon. She just passed through because of her looks and to appeal to the black community especially since she already had a big following on Tik tok. The company saw her as a “Tyla” resemblance especially since South African and black culture is becoming big now because of Tyla and others. But Manon isn’t talented sorry, she’s at the bare minimum when it comes to singing and dancing. She’s mostly only bringing visuals to the group.

I truly feel such deep empathy for Yoonchae. She’s only 16, and having to leave her family behind to move to a foreign country is incredibly frightening. Yoonchae shared how scared she was, and honestly, I felt the same way at that time (while the programme is ongoing). I was filled with anxiety, preparing to step foot in a new country, but now, I went through it, and it feels like I’ve grown alongside her through it all. She’s tried so hard, and you can see how she understands what Megan is saying, how the words touch her soul, even though English is her 2nd language. We all know how much Yoonchae’s 5 sisters love her, and despite all the challenges, the mental obstacles she was faced, she’d always chosen to debut in this global group if she had a chance to do it all again. What I love about Katseye is how authentic and true to themselves they are. i actually really appreciate the fact that they acknowledge some (not all but some) of the controversies that spouted from the documentary. i watched it for the first time last weekend and genuinely could not understand the criticism they got especially with the manon situation. they were all teenage girls in an unfamiliar, high-stress and highly competitive environment. it was also very clear that they all worked it out very quickly. no matter how much you think you know them, you don't and you shouldn't assume otherwise.

I am very proud of Katseye, and I am happy that Manon is in the group. A lot of people get discouraged at older ages when they get told their dreams are futile because theres specific skills by a specific age that they want. I know its super rare, but to see that someone with no experience had the support to gain the skills and discipline to fulfill their dream is awesome. Despite all the hardships they grew a lot in a pretty short amount of time, and I hope they continue to succeed!

Katseye is literally a breath of fresh air after being a kpop stan for more than a decade. It feels refreshing to watch a group of girls/idols who are just being real with themselves and each other. I feel like sophia is underappreciated. She's talented and kind. Sure she talks a lot but that's who she is.
