Hey my brother from across the Atlantic. I’m super hyped by this teaser trailer. I’ve got pretty strong faith in James Gunn. This trailer shored it up. The music. The bright colors and look of all the principal cast. Especially Superman shielding the little girl (that’s Superman, my friend). I for one always loved Krypton, so to see him in live action is pretty cool in my book. I know some are concerned about this movie being packed with other heroes, but I’m jazzed about the ones they have. When I was a kid I loved DC’s Justice League International, so having Guy Gardner in the movie (especially with Nathan Fillion in the roll) is right down my alley. Moreover, I liked the Justice Society of America comics too and Mr. Terrific was my favorite member of all (he’s like the DC version of another comic character I love when done right, Marvel’s Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richard’s), but Mr. Terrific is actually cooler. I can wait to see this movie! Best of all, my Dad took me to see Christopher Reeve in Superman: The Movie back when I was 6 and I’ll be taking my 7 year old daughter when Superman comes out in July 2025. Cool! I really enjoyed this trailer and am excited to see this movie! The only issue I have which seems to be a common concern shared by most who have genuine concerns is this film seems a bit busy. I do hope James Gunn isn’t repeating the same mistake as Zack Snyder did with Batman V Superman by overstuffing the film with extra heroes designed to kickstart the cinematic universe.

Hope they will make it good. But must say they had the perfect Superman actor. And didn't appritiated him enough. Here is why I think it is a bad trailer. It shows Superman as injured, weak, underpowered, and hated. That all may make complete sense in the context of the film but I feel it's a poor introduction to the new Superman. And a distorted electric guitar playing John Williams feels so desperate to me. It's corporate punk. It's trying to make grandma feel edgy. Maybe the movie is good but this teaser is not a win for me. You can't save everything with a dog.
