Baylan Skoll is very quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars. It’s genuinely impossible for me to get a read on him. He is bringing Thrawn back which he knows will start a war, but he’s not a true believer in the Empire and he looks like he doesn’t really care about the war either way. Even his fighting style is incredibly different from other Jedi, his stance more closely resembles that of English knights while Ahsoka’s is more akin to samurai. As for the ENDING! As soon as I saw the unusual waves emitting from around Ahsoka I said “no….no, no, no, no, no” and then the camera panned up showing The World Between Worlds and I was silent, until I heard “Hello, Snips” and I teared up at the sight of Anakin just like you guys. God I just wish Ray Stevenson lived to see how his performance looked on screen. Rest In Peace Ray you will never be forgotten.

I think Ahsoka might actually have died, or as Gandalf described things "The darkness took me, I strayed out of thought and time." I'm betting that the next episode, which Dave Filoni is directing, will be a sort of trial or final lesson for Ahsoka that takes place before she comes back from the WBW. She entered the WBW as "Ahsoka the Grey" and will return as "Ahsoka the White". The biggest "demon" for her to conquer is her relationship with Anakin/Vader and the trauma that has caused her, she has to deal with that in order to fully realize herself as a Jedi (or whatever she wants to refer to herself as).
@AndrewAbernathy Жыл бұрын
I like this a lot. I recall a video of Dave Filoni, maybe a Rebels Recon episode or wrap up show after the season ended, actually calling that last Ahsoka depiction as Ahsoka the White. Maybe I'm misremembering, maybe I'm not. But I like what you said.

There's also a track on the Rebels soundtrack called "Where The Sun Sails and The Moon Walks" which is a direct Tolkien reference and plays over Ahsoka's "death".

I don't think Ahsoka is really there. I mean her body isn't really there. This is propably just a spiritual meeting, while her real body is drifting in the sea or lying on an island/beach. She's most likely dead right now, or near dead, to be more specific. Yeah, maybe this will turn into a lesson or lecture or just into an important conversation of some kind. She'll propably return to the real world by other means, like being found by Hera or Huyang and reanimation to come back.

I always love your reactions. They're so pure and honest. Thanks Sonny and Kat. For Sonny, it's okay dude. We got ya. As for Baylon, I'm still so sad Ray Stevenson isn't with us anymore. He's been the Luthen Rael in this show. His ability to see into Sabine's soul and pull out Ezra was so playing dirty, yet he got the desired effect. Unless Baylon is killed off in the end and wasn't supposed to go forward, then he's been a fantastic character. If he was meant to continue, what a gigantic loss. My heart breaks. That stinger on the end with Anakin and the refrain of Vader's theme was so epic. It's good seeing Hayden again.

It is confirmed in the Star Wars Canon comic Darth Vader when he had his castle built on Mustafar and then in the Vader Immortal vr game. Vader/Anakin tried to revive Padme from the end of episode 3 Revenge of the Sith, but he couldn't see it because Luke and Leya were already born. Because he thought they died in her womb. So when he tried to revive her, he couldn't see them because they were already born. And then when he found out that he had a son, he wanted to be sure Darth Vader 2020 comic period between Star Wars episode 5 and 6. And some time after that, this cinematic Fallen Angel takes place.

May i propose to your guys that Baylan is in fact actually lawful neutral rather than lawful evil. It seems pretty self evident to me that if he could go through this entire series without ever having to kill someone that would be preferable to him. You can see it in his best first scene. He is more than happy to walk past Captain Hale to get to Morgan and no doubt once he did that he would have found a way to gaslight the new Republic officers into remanding her into their care. It wasn't until Captain Hale tried to stop them that he took action. And then again in episode two he says to Morgan it would be a shame to kill her. There are so few Jedi left. He doesn't want to kill her, he will of her must but he would prefer not to. In episode 3 he is barely there but he doesn't order the assassin droids to kill them he orders them to find them. And again in this episode he does it multiple times. When Ahsoka draws on him he said "how inevitable." He was sad. Later when he had her at by the cliff he says "it didn't have to be this way.". And then when confronting Sabine she has the map that he needs and he knows Ahsoka told her to destroy it. He couldobviously tell she was hesitant to destroy it and most villains wouldn't take the risk that she might destroy it after all but he tries to do it peacefully. He will do what it takes to accomplish his mission but he doesn't seem to have selfish reasons. He seems to want power to do good. Even his lightsaber color seems to show that he is more neutral in alignment than he is evil. Anyway just a thought. Love your videos!

Well, we wondered why Ahsoka walked away from Sabine, now we know. She knew that she would put someone she loved before everyone else. AS we saw, you don't need to be Sith to play the corruption game. Sabine wouldn't fall like a traditional Jedi, but as we saw, she nearly cost both Hera and her son their lives. Plus, seeing Ray Stevenson's performance here, it is a shame they never did a Darth Bane film, he would have been perfect for the dark lord later in his life. Really a good episode.

Thanks, Sonny! Dave Filoni can do anything! 🤯 It's also great that Brendan Wayne was able to show his face as one of the x-wing pilots, 'Lieutenant Lander'. 🤯 I'm guessing 'Marrok' was resurrected by Nightsister Magick, since he disappeared into green fog. Something similar happened when 'Ahsoka' killed an unidentified inquisitor in TALES OF THE JEDI... he kind of imploded. I'm guessing we'll learn more eventually. 🤯 #KatAndSonny #PeterRamsey #StarWars #Ahsoka

Agree that Baylan and Ahsoka's fight was really cool. Kind dope that they seem to be modeling more of the stances and combat off of somewhat familiar sword forms and not just some sort of dollarstore wuxia sword fights. I would die if they overhauled the saber fight choreography to be more tactile. I would like to have seen Ahsoka try to yank the starmap with the force. It would have been another way to show how formidable Baylan is if he countered/suppressed her attempts with is own force juju. Then Ahsoka having to physically grab it would have made more narrative and dramatic sense. The Ahsoka we have only exists in the current timeline because she was pulled from the world between worlds so I don't bump up against that. I don't have the same self-imposed restrictions that many of the keyboard warriors in SWU fandom have these days. Lucas always leaned more towards dramatic effect over realism or consistency anyway, and Filoni follows teh same playbook. Good catch on Marrok possibly being some kind of Nightsister revenant. That also means it may not be the end for them, who's to say they won't just be reconstituted by Elsbeth or some such. "What is dead may never die; But rises again, harder and stronger" to steal some some Greyjoy lingo :) My two takes on why Anakinmight look like his CW/ROTS era is that after Vader's/Anakin's redemption in ROTJ, we see his force ghost is the young Hayden version (still sad about Sebastian Shaw's erasure a bit, RIP) The other idea is that maybe what Ahsoka is seeing in the world between worlds isn't really Anakin but just a projection of him from her own emotional landscape. Sort of like in Star Trek DS9, when Sisko sees the wormhole aliens and they usually present as people from his memory, apologies for mixing nerdy metaphors again but WbW reminds me of the more woo-woo parts of Star Trek, than Star Wars. Regardless of any of that nitpicking or fansplaining, I am really digging the show. Lots of fun to watch your reactions to all of the modern Star Wars stuff. I have never been a big fan of the Prequels but I really like watching folks for whom they are more meaningful. It gives me a new perspective and respect for the SWU overall in this modern age of abundant content.

Hello from Germany! First, let me say that I love your Star Wars reactions. Your passion for Star Wars always makes me smile. Now let me share my theory: I think, Hera, Jacen and Huyang (and also Ahsoka who has to be alive!) will follow Elbeth, Baylon and the others. And the way has already been laid out. In the 3rd episode, Huyang mentioned that there are Hyperspace Lanes to other galaxies that follow the natural migration pattern of the pergill, of which there are plenty in the atmosphere of that planet. I think they will find a way to utilize them for the passage.
@dnocturn84 Жыл бұрын
But the bad guys had to build a special ship with the addition of multiple Super Star Destroyer hyper drive cores to ever make this trip. As Huyang put it last episode, this enables them to make a very distant hyperjump, with much higher jump speeds, to make it to this other galaxy. A normal hyperdrive jump may be possible as well, who knows, but this should take them multiple years of travel time to ever get there - unlike the team of the bad guys here. And without coordinates, it should not be possible. But maybe Sabines helmet was connected to her suit and recorded something, or Ahsokas burning on her hand will help with that problem. Maybe there is a solution for the missing-coordinates problem. But I doubt they will follow them like this at all. edit: Maybe the Purrgils will save the day for team Ahsoka/Hera. They should be able to get them to the other galaxy as well. And they know the routes without the need for maps.
@markushelberg9579 Жыл бұрын
@@dnocturn84 Your edit was exactly what I was aiming at. I think, with the help of the force, they can persuade a purgill to take them to the other galaxy. And once they are there, they have to start a search for Ezra anyway.

Night Sisters can raise ghosts and put them in vessels, like a suit of armor. Interesting point, Baylan and Shin are wearing clone war armor, the shoulder pads, did they leave the Jedi during that war? Anakin’s fall is so completely heart breaking. We know Luke forgave him, Obi forgave him, Leia could never forgive him and rejected him as a force ghost, but to see Anakin be able to speak to Ashoka, it’s more than I could have hoped for. I think Ashoka’s connection to the force is different than any other Jedi because of her dying once before and the Daughter giving her, her life force. I’m not sure she can even die and perhaps her life force is connected to the Morai, and they pulled her into the world between worlds at the moment of her second death before it happened. Really into this, it’s connected to the past, but it’s so fresh.
