Anyone who says that Yngwie's Neo-Classical Influence is No Big Deal just listen to todays Neo-Classical Guitarists and you'll see and hear it. He has continued to play and still writes and produces his own music years later after many have moved on to other genres. There is a reason why he is The Neo-Classical King.

since Yngwie can only produce so much... its good to be able to enjoy the same style music while we wait for more Yngwie. no insult to "the Maestro", but compliments and shows the respect he deserves. it keeps neoclassical alive. and its great to have some that are almost as good as the original

@@paularikwagener1054 for you... i will go listen to some Ritchie Blackmore today. i tried this once before... wasnt impressed or entertained. i think Uli Jon Roth may be the preYngwie Yngwie, not Blackmore. if ya have any suggestions for songs i should look for...let me know. totally open to seeing (hearing) your view

@@DD-um4dd oh cool, I did not expect an answer. If you want to listen to some stuff of Blackmore, try out the solos from Burn by Deep purple and Gates of Babylon by Rainbow. And if you listen to Malmsteen and Roth, you are definitely into the good stuff

Mr. Y.J.Malmsteen laid the foundation for neo-calssical shredding. So he's a living legend. And if you would ask A.Ohta he would probably say that Malmsteen was his inspirator to pick-up the guitar and shred the hell out of it..

Well done sir!

It's not totaly correct my friend. This song is NEO-classical hardrock/metal/shred music. Neo stands for new. So in this context it is new classical music. Music that has classical influences in it, played with the electric guitar. And the foundation of neo-classical hardrock/metal/shred was laid by mr. Y.J.Malmsteen.. Mr Y.J.Malmsteen is mostly underestimated, by fellow musicians and music lovers. The're too young or to ignorant to know that he's the one that made shred guitar famous..

The foundation of neo-classical hardrock/metal/shred was laid by mr. Rhandy Rhoads. Sorry.

@@qwert4560 ermmm..... Ritchie Blackmore? Uli Jon Roth? The thing is, it was developing separately by different people. They were like scientists who were working on the same topic, but didn't know each other. Yngwie was the final product.
@ari1234a2 жыл бұрын
@@qwert4560 There has been classical influence in Rock a long time Love Sculpture feat Dave Edmunds is a good example of this. Their`s "Sabre Dance" or "Farandole" are just fabulous early shred. It just that those early pioneers did not have the necessary technique or theoretical knowledge to employ Minor harmonic scale + Dim/maj/min arpeggios to their playing. That kind of playing was not rock n roll.

There are a lot of comments comparing this guy to Yngwie. Sure it is the same style but I think Mr. Katsu actually has some original licks thrown in there. Definately a lot of Yngwie influence especially in the soloing but not entirely an Yngwie Rip Off I would say. Pretty cool stuff overall. Personally I give it a thumbs up !

And better choice of tones, better sound, better sweep- picking, better bends, just....better. At everything. More catchy hooks. Cooler riffs. He is swedish, I am norwegian.
