There's still hope. He says he WANTS to return to wrestling and hopefully this injury doesn't prove entirely fatal. I just hate it how the general IWC is pointing out all the flaws in Shibata's arsenal now that the injury has happened and it's conformation bias at its worst. As the man has once said, "Every match I have might be my last match. That's how I wrestle every time. I don't want to change that mentality, ever. Because if I did, I wouldn't wrestle my style of match. And if I can't wrestle my way, I don't want to wrestle." People should learn to appreciate the fact that he's toughed out of multiple injuries for the sake of the audience. If this was the final blow, what a way to go out -- he knew this was a big match, and although his decision of expression may have not been worth it, in the end, his never-say-die attitude speaks loudly of the spirit of Puroresu, Strong Style, and should serve as some inspiration (in some sort, if you understand what he's been going through during that time). Unfortunate injury, I hope he can continue to prosper soon.
