Far as the Players Club scene(s) go it wasn’t meant to be funny and the movie overall wasn’t a straight up comedy even though Bernie was hilarious in it. The bottom line is you can’t tell a story about a young girl going down the wrong path the way Lisa Raye’s sister was and not explore the fact that these things happen especially when you can’t trust the so called friends that you came with. Ronnie was a straight up dirty hoe and sadly it’s people like her out here as well that will get set up. Players Club despite some of the lighter moments was if anything a teaching movie.
