It's.. PURPLE! | Using Every Single Purple Marker I Own in One Drawing

I was just thinking I missed marker challenges... And then this video came! I love it! Edit: The scenes being connected made me flash back to a book I read when I was little called "Eefje Donkerblauw". (I checked, it's not available in other languages, despite being a best seller for literally thirty years now.) It's about a queen who loves dark blue, so her entire world is that color, until she goes looking for blue shells on a yellow beach and meets a golden yellow king. There's a theme of trying new things and not excluding others just because they embody things you haven't considered, so they get married after trying each other's colors and deciding they can like more than one thing. Their kids are all green, except for one, who is yellow like dad. She falls in love with a red prince, etc. etc. There's a lot of one-color scenes which are connected and then bleed into other colors. This art reminds me a lot of that story, like the rainbow princes and princesses are playing hide and seek in the forest, except you can't see them because they're hiding in the part with their favorite color.

i really like this series and am glad you brought it back. to me it looks like the statue in this picture is the back of the statue in the cat pond. that's the connection of the two pictures for me. i imagine that each picture represents a different part of a large jungle forest and that you can see different parts of the scenery from different angles. love the idea, love your art!

I really liked both aspects, the color challenge and the illustration. I would want to see more or both. Most yt artists who do 1 color challenges will just do a figure, often wo a background, and that’s...I’ll say less rich. But yours...chef’s kiss.

This was very fun! Purple is so hard to decide where purple ends and pink or blue starts. Which makes sense considering it's red and blue mixed. But where does it start and end? You did a great job sorting it and making gorgeous art! I'd love to see another illustration when you feel inspired.

Love this idea and obviously your art! I’d definitely watch more if you continued this color series. It’s actually less overwhelming for artist who are struggling with color theory and just their color palettes for art in general. It’s a neat exercise and using all products with just similar colors/shades/tones makes for some really neat color combos/layer discoveries. 💜💜

I imagine the crystals are what give the glade power and the cats are there to protect them, there are some small entrances to the crystal caverns underground but only the cats know where they are and the only creatures that are allowed in the caverns are those the guardian cats deem worthy. Love the art work cant wait to see the whole rainbow catopia if you choose to continue 😊❤

I like how you did the statue in this one. I know that you felt it didn't feature as prominently but I think its a good thing because it kind of looks a similar shape to the blue cat statue or at least what it might look like from behind in the distance. So I think it actually worked out well even if that's not what you intended it to look like.

I'd love to see more videos in this series! You could try yellow next, if you're up for a challenge. Yellow is my favorite color but I know it can be difficult. I learned when you add black to yellow paint it turns green, unlike other colors that just darken. So the thing with yellow is, what is dark yellow? Is it just brown, or is it green? This is what I think about. lol. Hope you continue this series with yellow! 💛
