Sometimes just because life happens does not mean life should stop. Times get hard but moving forward is the best medicine for hard times, especially of this sort. She made a commitment to serve these people of Brazil regardless of the circumstances going on in her personal life. She showed a great deal humbleness, determinatiom and love not only for her fans but herself as well by moving on whether it was with or without the one that she loved. fAshSon Not really, she had to do it. Look at how many other people, places and things a no-show would cause. The promoter can sue, security, venue, insurance, ticket refunds, her support staff. When you agree to seek star status you give up something if you win. She made the right choice, to go on. Performers are happiest on stage feeling the love.

Yes, we've all been in situations like that (broken hearts, depression, breaking down). However, I can honestly say that, while I've had to put it aside for certain situations (ie Put On a Happy Face!), I've never had to go out in front of that many people and pretend to be okay when I'm absolutely not. I don't know that everyone could stand up to that kind of a challenge.

I don't understand why some people on here are taking cheap shots at her, shes a human being at the end of the day, even if you don't like her, she was going though an extremely tough time here and still "the show must go on" ....To be going through a break up and her marriage coming to an end.... its emotionally draining for anyone and to then have to be all high energy, up beat, smiles and do a full concert knowing her marriage is ending, god, i don't think id have the strength to do that, id just want to hide away and eat a shit load of ice cream, whilst in my pjs...

It's sad cause she just wants to lay there and cry and there are like all these people around her trying to get her to go through with the show and it's like no one shows some consideration for her situation. I mean of course she couldn't cancel the show and you can see what a professional she is but a hug or a comforting word from these people who surround her on this tour 24/7 wouldn't hurt. At least she's got her sister with her and as she's said in many interviews that was a lot of help.

Everybody who's hating on Russell really has no idea how their marriage broke down. Russell got married with the intention of settling down and having children and Katy wasn't ready for that. Her career was her number one priority and she still wanted to party and have fun. There's nothing wrong with that but they obviously got married with different intentions so it was never going to last. That tied with all the long distance and separate careers! I like them both as individuals :)
