This version was a remix, because the solo version was the original version. It's was originally a single promo when the album ''Teenage Dreams'' came out. When she comes at the choose of the fourth single of ''Teenage Dreams'', Katy was hesitant about the singles Katy asked in Twitter at the public to choose the next single after ''Firework''. The public choose ''E.T.'' and a week later, she confirm ''E.T.'' in the fourth single and remixed this song with Kanye. The pop and hip-hop sensibility aside of electronic and RnB (in a mid-tempo bass) was a attract for radios and perfect for all stations radios The urbans and RnB used the remix, while the pop and adult contempory used the original version. The music video also remains very popular in TV stations like MTV.
