Facts, it’s scary how bad this song is flopping. Katy was one of the biggest pop stars between 2008-2013 ...Her songs were on radio non-stop. Maybe it’s because music (as a whole) is changing, everything is Urban/R&B/Trap now. Pop music like Katy’s was more mainstream in the early 2010’s... EDIT: After listening to all the important hidden messages on her album “Witness” and her track “Chained To The Rhythm” basically meaning “we’re all slaves to the system”... I think she might’ve been blacklisted from being a top POP artist by the people in power. That song is basically telling on the corrupt American system. In that song she says “Drink, this one’s on me” so she’s most likely aware that they would take her mainstream popularity away after she put that album out. Even Bob Marley’s Grandson was on that track, saying “The truth they feed is feeble” meaning the people in power are lying to us... One thing I noticed in the music industry is that once an artist starts speaking up about the real issues in this world, they are either killed or blacklisted. Which makes sense as to why her new music is not as popular (even though it’s as good as anything else she’s released)
