When I used to listen to the original years ago it always felt like everything was forever and perfect, friendships, family, everything was more fun. i very vividly remember first hearing this song back on MTV back when it made the weekly top10 and thinking back to my metalhead edgy ass that i was mad at myself for liking it. Now i always get hit with a massive wave of depression/nostalgia from listening to it because it takes me straight back to that scene in simpler times were all i did was study, watch MTV for new music and daydream of forming a band. It was better back then. As long as i went to school, didn't do stupid shit and didn't get my parents mad things would just sort itself out, didn't have to lose nights of sleep obsessing over the next bill to pay or the state the world is in, i wouldn't get paranoid about music not being for me or not being good enough or about never finding my place in the world, no I'd always just think to myself "yeah, i'll be fine. shit will sort itself out" where did i go so wrong? did i even go wrong at all? it feels like somewhere in the '10s we colectively fucked up massively without even noticing it and now we're living the consequences of said fuck up while completely oblivious to it's existence. i'm sorry for ranting. I know This is just some internet site that no one would nor should care about but here i am, writing a fucking book about how my sorry ass managed to fuck up every chance i got like any of you would/should feel sympathy towards me, some random stranger. i think i'm just tired you know? yeah, let's go with that; i'm tired.
