I love Katy & this song so much But Royals changed the pop radio for ever .. after years & years of 100-130 BPM songs ( the tempo ) it’s been hard for a lower tempo songs to reach the Top40 So Lorde came with Royals at 84BPM & succeeded because of percussion & so it goes until the era of trap begins thanks to Lorde’s beats & percussion at lower tempo
