jesus why this much hate YES it's not the best cover this song has had, she's obviously having trouble with reaching the lower notes (friendly reminder this song was written by and for a low tenor such as freddie, katy is a light soprano) so she has to go for alternative notes on the fly and im guessing she didnt rehearse it well but she sang on tune, remember this song is a bitch to sing live (not even freddie could do it justice every night) and she delivered a passionate performance, i can see that shes a true queen fan and this is nothing but her tribute to a band that she very clearly loves so i really dont see why all the hate

Oh dear God above, was this a serious performance??????? She BUTCHERED it! Look up, for all of you hooray'ing her, the ORIGINAL performance by Freddie (1982 in Montreal's version is EPIC). Some voices aren't meant to be covered, especially not by someone with a mediocre voice to begin with...Freddie, Robert Plant, Jimi Hendrix...all very distinctive. With that said, the one exception for me is George Michael covering Somebody to Love at Wembley, but he has the same type of powerhouse voice as Freddie...Katy does NOT. She actually went completely FLAT when singing about the laws of gravity....

Freddie always delivered this song passionately and even in his worst vocal days (due to INTENSE touring and nodules, I mean the poor guy had to do 2 concerts in 1 day at one point) he could sing it well enough. Listen to Hammersmith, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle 1st or 2nd night all in 1979 and lmk. Plus Don't Stop Me Now isn't even in the setlist at Montreal 1981...

@@ronaldreagan1068 Fred actually did a great job during the two times this song was covered (the live killers, European leg of the Jazz tour) and yes it did sound a bit bad compared to the live version, the real reason for it was vocal nodules developing in Fred's throat due to intense touring and overusing his voice. A part of 78-79 was bad for Freddie vocally, since his voice was damaged because of the intense touring and vocal overusing.
