We were out on the beach for the day on USMC base Camp Lejeune, she often flew in to come visit me...And I told her to go her own way because I would be gone for 7 months & I wouldnt hold her back from finding love somewhere else..and that theres a possibility that I might not make it back at all...she didnt listen or like that at all..theres more stuff to it than that but I have forgotten some of it...I remember most of it but I didnt find out that she written this song about us until a few months ago...man we had some great times together
