I was playing clubs around 2007 and remember thinking how talented she was at the time. She's really a gifted performer and vocalist. She's not always perfect live, but always sounds like she's singing with passion. Have loved watching her do so well.

Great video, definitely proves that she got amazing vocals. However, I think the ET live from American Idol is pre-recorded (this one is just my opinion, I watched like a billion performances from her and some of the parts from that performance just did't feel right to me), and for Firework, Victoria's Secret ususally auto tune the vocals. There are tons of other good live from these two songs, I just hoped that you picked the ones show her real skills.

But then other days, I can't feel the necessary structural forms my mouth, throat, and body posturing require to hit the notes right. Even Adele has had some flops moments. But Katy Perry is hot and has worked hard for a career in music. So I get why she is a success. But I've always felt like her performances were hit or miss depending on her day.
